Milton Keynes, United Kingdom – 27 January 2026 – Mercedes-Benz Cars UK today announced the return of Jason Allbutt as Sales Director, effective 1 February 2026. Allbutt rejoins the company from smart UK Automotive Ltd, where he has served as Chief Executive Officer since February 2024.
Allbutt’s career with Mercedes-Benz Cars UK spans more than three decades, beginning as a graduate in 1995. Over the years, he has held senior management roles across finance, sales, product, and planning. In his most recent position at Mercedes-Benz – Head of Product, Planning & smart, appointed in October 2020 – Allbutt played a key role in the successful implementation of the Agency sales model in January 2023.
“Jason has considerable experience and a clear understanding of the Mercedes-Benz UK business and our sales network under the Agency model, which he helped introduce.
