Pretoria, South Africa – 07 April 2025 – Jaguar Classic has unveiled an exciting development for owners and restorers of the legendary Jaguar E-type: more than 30 newly engineered body panels crafted to original factory specifications. This significant expansion of Jaguar Classic’s parts portfolio allows enthusiasts to restore their beloved Series 1, 2 and 3 E-types with absolute authenticity, ensuring both structural integrity and aesthetic precision.

From meticulously recreated floor panels to front frame assemblies, these parts offer a faithful continuation of Jaguar’s storied legacy. Each component has been produced using a blend of traditional craftsmanship and modern engineering methods, resulting in parts that are both historically accurate and engineered for modern-day longevity.

Preserving the Legend with Precision

The new components – including hard-to-source items such as front cross member assemblies, outer sills, and full floor panels – are manufactured from mild steel and coated in black eCoat to provide robust corrosion resistance. These materials and finishes have been selected to extend the life of each component, helping to preserve the structural soundness of E-types for generations to come.

Highlighting the brand’s commitment to authenticity, the front frame assemblies are manufactured using the original Reynolds tubing technique, a method historically borrowed from bicycle frame construction to provide lightweight yet strong structures. This attention to detail ensures each part retains the character and quality of its era.

Reengineering with Original Accuracy

Every panel has been engineered using original factory drawings and recreated through advanced 3D CAD modelling. The Jaguar Classic engineering team undertook a rigorous process of scanning original components and validating them against both archival blueprints and CAD data to ensure flawless dimensional accuracy.

These panels are not only built to fit – they are designed to embody the spirit of the original. With compatibility guaranteed across 3.8-litre and 4.2-litre Series 1, 2 and 3 models, owners can trust that their restoration projects will meet Jaguar’s original performance and aesthetic standards.

Warranty and Global Confidence

All new parts are backed by Jaguar Land Rover’s comprehensive aftermarket warranty – offering two years of coverage for customers in the UK and Europe, and one year for clients in other regions. This added assurance allows owners to purchase with confidence, knowing their vehicles are supported by the original manufacturer.

They can have complete confidence the parts will be fully compatible with their vehicle, but also the reassurance of knowing they come direct from the original manufacturer. Every item is subject to the highest possible levels of scrutiny, with a range of quality assurance processes employed across Jaguar Classic ensuring these parts and others allow E-types all over the world to continue being driven and enjoyed for decades to come.”
