Pretoria, 12 February 2013 – Jaguar Land Rover South Africa and sub Sahara Africa have recognised its top dealers at the company’s annual Dealer of the Year Awards. The prestigious awards evening, made in recognition of Jaguar Land Rover’s best business achievements in its dealer network, were hosted in one of their key sub-Saharan markets, Mauritius.
Jaguar Witbank and Land Rover Daly emerged as the best brand dealers amongst tough competition in a network striving towards revised brand targets set by an evolving Jaguar Land Rover corporate in Africa. The Potchefstroom Land Rover dealer was the most improved dealer of 2011 and continued their momentum to take top honours during 2012.
“Jaguar Land Rover has embarked on a massive growth strategy, building a strong foundation for the brands in all our markets for the onslaught of exciting products that have already started coming our way. Our dealers in South Africa and importers in sub Sahara Africa have risen to the challenge and are living Jaguar and Land Rover ambassadors,” said Kevin Flynn, Managing Director of Jaguar Land Rover South Africa and sub Sahara Africa.
The dealer and importer of the year awards recognise those franchises achieving the best combination of actual retail volumes against target, including vehicles, parts and accessories, while delivering the best customer satisfaction and the Jaguar Land Rover philosophy of “fixed right first time”.
Jaguar Bryanston retained its title as the top Jaguar sales dealer of 2012, as did Land Rover Sandton. These dealers have been recognized for selling the most Jaguars and Land Rovers for the period January 2012 to December 2012..
Based on stringent customer satisfaction index scores, Upington was judged the Land Rover dealer with the best service throughout 2012. The Jaguar honours were shared by Jaguar Umhlanga and Jaguar Windhoek, indicating just how consistent customer service is throughout the network. These dealers have been recognized for exceptional performance in service delivery.
The two most improved dealers last year were Jaguar Centurion and Land Rover Nelspruit. Primarily based on an evaluation of performance growth over 2011, the accolade also takes into account sales volumes and customer satisfaction.
Owning the biggest contribution to Jaguar Land Rover Financial Services for the second year running with the highest conversion rates and total market share was Land Rover East Rand.
Jaguar Land Rover sub Sahara Africa named CMC Automobiles Tanzania the Land Rover Importer of the Year. They showed the greatest increase in year-on-year sales, after having being named the most improved importer for 2011. It was home-ground advantage as the Dealer of the Year awards event honoured its hosts, Axess Mauritius as the Jaguar Importer of the Year 2012.
