JAECOO to be Welcomed to Europe by the Duke of Richmond at Goodwood Festival of Speed

The Duke of Richmond will officially welcome JAECOO to Europe at midday on Thursday, 11 July. This event marks a significant milestone for JAECOO, a brand known for its blend of off-road capabilities and luxurious design.
Introducing the JAECOO 7: Innovation Meets Elegance
The JAECOO 7 is set to captivate European audiences with its impressive off-road prowess, sleek exterior, and spacious, technologically advanced interior. Attendees at Goodwood can explore the new model and enjoy traditional Chinese soft drinks at JAECOO’s stand. Former F1 racing driver and 1970 Le Mans winner, Richard Attwood, will drive the JAECOO 7 up the famous Goodwood hill, showcasing its dynamic capabilities.
Performance and Powertrain Options
Available in both front- and four-wheel drive configurations, the JAECOO 7 is powered by a 1.6-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine, paired with a Getrag-sourced 7-speed Dual-Clutch Transmission (DCT). Future variants will include plug-in hybrid and all-electric options, broadening the appeal to eco-conscious drivers.

Designed for Versatility
Engineered for both urban and off-road environments, the JAECOO 7 offers seven driving modes, including Sand, Mud, Snow, and Off-Road settings. With a 600 mm wading depth and approach and departure angles of 21 and 29 degrees respectively, this SUV is built to handle diverse terrains. The Bosch-developed Integrated Power Brake (IPB) system enhances the vehicle’s off-road capabilities with a rapid response time of less than 0.1 seconds.
Sophisticated Design and Advanced Technology
The exterior design of the JAECOO 7 features sleek lines, a large vertical waterfall grille, and split daytime running lights. Inside, the cabin offers a luxurious experience with a 14.8” high-resolution touchscreen, a 10.25” digital instrument panel, and a head-up display. Additional features include multi-colour interior lighting, 50 W wireless mobile phone charging, an eight-speaker Sony audio system, and a panoramic roof.
Safety and Comfort
The JAECOO 7 ensures safety with an 80% high-strength steel body, 10 airbags, and advanced driver-assist technologies, including a 540-degree panoramic camera system. Measuring 4,500 mm in length with a 2,672 mm wheelbase, 1,865 mm in width, and 1,680 mm in height, the SUV promises ample space and comfort.
UK Launch and Availability
Pre-reservations for the JAECOO 7 are now open, with refundable deposits available to secure a priority place. Over 70 jointly-branded dealer sites, expanding to 100 by year-end, will support the UK rollout, ensuring customers benefit from expert sales and aftersales services. First deliveries are expected in late 2024, heralding a new era for urban off-road vehicles.
