JAECOO continues to strengthen its presence in the UK with the expansion of its best-selling JAECOO 7 range, introducing two exciting new variants: the visually striking JAECOO 7 SHS-P Black Luxury and the brand’s first full-hybrid model, the JAECOO 7 SHS-H. Following a record-breaking debut year with over 35,000 new vehicle registrations and an impressive fifth-place ranking for February 2026 sales, these additions underline JAECOO UK’s commitment to offering style, innovation, and choice to modern SUV buyers.
The new SHS-P Black Luxury elevates the plug-in hybrid experience with a sophisticated black-on-black design, featuring a black front grille, logo suite, mirrors, wheels, roof rails, and interior touches like the headliner and sun visors. Exclusively offered in the top-tier Luxury specification and priced from £36,500 OTR, this edition delivers a bold aesthetic without compromising the performance, capability, or value that have defined JAECOO’s SHS models.
Meanwhile, the JAECOO 7 SHS-H introduces a self-charging full-hybrid alternative, appealing to customers seeking electrification without the need to plug in. Available in Pure and Deluxe trims from £29,195 OTR, the SHS-H pairs a 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine with JAECOO’s proprietary hybrid system, producing 224 PS, a 0-62 mph time of 8.3 seconds, and a top speed of 112 mph. Its advanced powertrain incorporates six core technologies, including the Deep Miller Cycle, i-HEC intelligent combustion, intelligent turbocharging, and thermal management, delivering a world-leading efficiency of 44.5%, 53 mpg extra-urban fuel economy, and impressively low noise levels. Interior appointments range from tweed cloth and a 13.2-inch infotainment screen in the Pure model to eco-leather, a 14.8-inch touchscreen, and an enhanced 8-speaker sound system in the Deluxe variant.
The arrival of these variants strengthens JAECOO’s position in the UK SUV market, where SHS-P plug-in hybrids have accounted for over 70% of all JAECOO 7 sales in 2025. The Black Luxury edition adds a premium, visually commanding option, while the SHS-H full-hybrid broadens electrification access at a highly competitive price. Both models benefit from JAECOO’s 7-year/100,000-mile warranty, with one year of complimentary RAC breakdown cover, and will be available across the brand’s network of 122 UK dealers from May 2026.
