1st February 2024 – Renowned Isuzu UK dealer Weybridge Isuzu announces a deal with UK aviation giant, British Airways (BA). Initially, nine New-Look Isuzu D-Max Utility pick-ups will be provided to aid in airside operations at Heathrow and Gatwick Airports. A deal that has been in the works since March 2023, the rollout of the customised Utility pick-ups will be completed in early 2024.
BA will be using the vehicles to aid its airside operations at two of the UK’s busiest airports – Heathrow and Gatwick. The initial three vehicles will go to Heathrow Airport, with the other six destined for Gatwick Airport. The strategic collaboration between Weybridge Isuzu and British Airways underscores the exceptional reputation which precedes the Isuzu D-Max with its durability, performance, and versatility. With an impressive towing capacity of 3.5 tonnes and the ability to carry a payload of over a tonne, alongside a reputable track record of reliability, the D-Max is a tried and tested workhorse that is set to play a vital role in supporting BA’s ground operations.
The BA deal consists of nine New-Look Isuzu D-Max Utility vehicles in double cab versions. The vehicles, finished in Splash White colour, have been branded with the iconic British Airways logo and upgraded with accessories, including an under-rail liner and MountainTop roll cover on the load bed, as well as a revolving amber hazard warning light on the roof.
