Leading UK commercial vehicle distributor Isuzu Truck will be providing four trucks from its 2012 product range for the ‘Ride and Drive’ programme at the inaugural CM Live on October 3-4. Demonstration rides will be available in two Isuzu Forward 7.5t and two Isuzu Forward 11.00t rigids – all four vehicles feature the company’s proven Easyshift transmission system.

Isuzu confirms 4-vehicle line up

Furthermore, this is the first time that ITUK has had the opportunity to demonstrate its highly innovative Mimamori telematics system. All four vehicles will be monitored and tracked in front of many observers at the event and it will enable all drivers to get feedback on their own driving performance when they return to the Isuzu Truck stand.

The four new Isuzu trucks available for the ‘ride and drive’ programme include:

Isuzu N75.190 7.5t 4×2 rigid chassis day cab, Easyshift transmission and specified with a 20ft Micra Truck Bodies curtainsided body with rear shutter doors and Dhollandia tuckaway tail lift.

Isuzu N75.190 7.5t 4×2 rigid chassis day cab, Easyshift transmission and specified with a 20ft Fosters grp box body with rear shutter doors and DEL column tail lift.

Isuzu F110.210 11.00 4×2 rigid chassis day cab, Easyshift transmission and fitted with a 21ftTrans Load curtain sided body complete with rear double doors and an Anteo tuckaway tail lift.

Isuzu F110.210 11tonne 4×2 rigid chassis day cab, Easyshift transmission fitted with a 21ft Bevan curtain sided body, also with double rear doors and an Anteo column tail lift.

Announcing details of the Isuzu vehicle line up at CM Live, Keith Child, marketing director at Isuzu Truck UK said: “This event at Millbrook will give operators an excellent opportunity to test drive the current Isuzu vehicles at both 7.5 and 11 tonnes. All of our trucks will be loaded to give a realistic performance plus all of them will be fitted with the Mimamori telematics system. This will enable all drivers and spectators to obtain first-hand experience of the benefits from running vehicles fitted with such a clever and innovative driver and operator management programme.”

Isuzu’s Mimamori is proven technology developed by Isuzu Motors in Japan and is extensively used in the Japanese domestic market where over 40,000 vehicles currently use it to improve operational efficiencies and management reports.

As Keith Child continues: “We are using this event to demonstrate that, in today’s tough economic climate, operators need accurate monitoring information at their fingertips in order to manage and improve operational efficiencies. With fuel, driver’s labour costs and vehicle downtime representing significant operational costs, the range of technology available from Mimamori enables users to gain a greater knowledge of their fleet operations 24/7.”
