The 2012 Cape Getaway Show kicks off on Friday, 23 March and runs until Sunday, 25th March at the Lourensford Wine Estate outside Somerset West. Now in its 20th year, the show is considered the benchmark by many in the industry. It is hosted by Getaway magazine and attracts in excess of 16 000 visitors per annum that have a keen interest in the latest camping and adventure gear and get all the information needed to plan another great holiday.
The 2012 Cape Getaway Show will feature over 250 outdoor, travel and adventure exhibits, photographic workshops, hikes, mountain biking, heli flips, fun for the kids, delicious food and incredible prizes and show specials!
Isuzu will be a major participant in the 2012 show, as in 2011, with a display by the local Isuzu dealership, Westvaal Somerset West, as well as the opportunity for attendees to be driven on a specially prepared 4×4 route course by the highly trained Isuzu Off-Road Academy instructors. The Isuzu Off-Road Academy is part of Isuzu’s continued efforts to help Isuzu owners and prospective owners get the most out of their vehicles in off-road situations. The Isuzu Off-Road Academy, in association with the African Off-Road Academy, is now certified by the South African Qualification Authority to provide 4X4 on- and off-road training to standards prescribed by the SAQA (South African Qualification Authority). The Isuzu Off-Road Academy is the first vehicle manufacturer backed 4X4 academy to achieve this status.The Academy runs day courses at the best off-roading venues around South Africa with the bonus that all bakkies are supplied by the Academy.
The 1st 100 people to go for a drive on the 4×4 route during the 2012 Cape Getaway show will receive a hamper from Westvaal Somerset West.
