Kia UK has announced the launch of special edition ‘Shadow’ models for the new Picanto, Stonic, and Sportage line-ups. Available for retail sales starting June 3, these models feature exclusive styling and enhanced features that build upon the already comprehensive ‘3’ specification. Each model in the ‘Shadow’ series comes with unique interior colors and premium paint options as standard.
Picanto ‘Shadow’
Celebrating its 20th anniversary in the UK this year, the Picanto receives a significant mid-life refresh with the ‘Shadow’ edition. For an additional £500 over the standard ‘3’ model, the Picanto ‘Shadow’ includes:
- 1.2-litre, 77bhp engine, available in both manual and Automated Manual (AMT) transmissions
- Adventurous Green interior
- Premium paint options: Adventurous Green, Astro Grey, or Midnight Black
- On-the-road price: £18,045 (manual), £18,745 (AMT)
The Picanto, which has surpassed 250,000 lifetime sales in the UK as of August last year, remains a beloved model for Kia. Holding over 22 percent of the A-segment market in 2024, the Picanto exemplifies Kia’s dedication to providing small, versatile vehicles for European customers.
Stonic ‘Shadow’
Following the last special edition release in 2022, the Stonic ‘Shadow’ enhances the popular B-segment SUV lineup. Building on the well-equipped ‘3’ model, the Stonic ‘Shadow’ features:
- New 17-inch grey alloys, unique to the ‘Shadow’ edition
- Premium exterior paint options: Midnight Black, Astro Grey, and a new addition to the Stonic range, Smokey Blue
- Blue interior pack: contrast blue stitching on seats, steering wheel, and blue elements on the center console
- On-the-road price: £22,995 (manual), £23,995 (DCT)
Sportage ‘Shadow’
The Sportage continues to be a top seller, ranking as the third best-selling car in the UK in Q1 of this year. Exclusive to hybrid models, the Sportage ‘Shadow’ adds unique styling elements to the ‘3’ hybrid model while maintaining the same price:
- New Midnight Green interior pack
- Gloss black window and spoiler trim
- Dark chrome finish to front, rear, sides, and skid plate
- Premium paint options: Experience Green, Phantom Black, and the new, exclusive Wolf Grey
- On-the-road price: £36,485
