A first for South Africa, and exclusive to this year’s Rand Show, comes an international act that’s as daredevil as it is entertaining. Hailing from Canada, it’s the Flying Fools High-Dive Show, packed with crazy stunts and equally funny antics.

Flying Fools at Rand Show 2012

Renowned for its quality, wholesome, family entertainment, the Rand Show is always on the lookout for new attractions, and is proud to add the Flying Fools High Dive Show to its growing list of exclusive acts.

Trampolinist and high-diver Yves Milord and his team have been wowing crowds around the world since 1990. Now inSouth Africa, the Flying Fools present three shows, every day from 6-15 April 2012, at the Rand Show 2012.

From heights up to 25 metres, the Flying Fools launch themselves into the air in acrobatic dives, landing in a pool just three metres deep. Plummeting to earth at speeds as much as 80 kilometres an hour, the divers hit the water feet first, then instantly push out their legs to angle themselves into the water or risk breaking all the bones in their bodies.

Criss-crossing in the air, tumbling and twisting, the Flying Fools high divers will captivate young and old with their Olympic-style dives. Then they’ll turn up the comedy levels, swapping wetsuits for clown costumes, for the section of the show where their comical dives and antics will have everyone laughing.

But the fun’s not over when the last ripple has settled on the high-diving pool. This year’s Rand Show will once again boast hundreds of square metres of lifestyle-related exhibits and oodles of wholesome, free entertainment for the whole family.
