Rolle, Switzerland – Infiniti has been delivering exceptional sound systems in its cars for more than a quarter of a century thanks to a pioneering collaboration with audio partner, Bose. Now, Infiniti can announce the next phase of its audio collaboration: the Infiniti Q50 Sound Studio by Bose.
Sound Studio by Bose is a bespoke audio version for Q50, Infiniti’s sports saloon acclaimed for its innovations, such as Direct Adaptive Steering, the world’s first electronic steering system.
The ultimate music lovers’ version of the car combines several state-of-the-art features to offer an unrivalled listening experience for driver and passengers alike. Moreover, by coupling the standard Bose Surround Sound system with the latest DAB receiver even digital radio broadcasts can be enjoyed with the full power and richness of Bose technology.
As the first car to feature Bose’s Advanced Staging Technology, Q50 benefits from sophisticated digital signal processing circuitry and delivers a highly precise and natural sound. This Bose innovation creates the impression of a concert hall’s wide ‘sound stage’ for a captivating ‘front row seat’ listening experience. Fourteen strategically-placed speakers deliver powerful surround-sound depth and fidelity to the Q50’s occupants wherever they sit in the car.
Q50 Sound Studio by Bose also features Centerpoint® 2 Surround Technology, enabling both driver and passengers to enjoy an emotional listening experience with captivating 360-degree surround-sound from any stereo source including DAB radio.
The listening experience is enhanced further by advanced Bose systems operating automatically behind-the-scenes. Active Sound Management Technology, for example, reduces unwanted powertrain noise, while also enhancing desirable engine sounds. Bose AudioPilot®2 Noise Compensation Technology constantly monitors and adjusts music levels to compensate for vehicle speed and the effects of unwanted external sound intrusions.
Pioneering audio is nothing new for Infiniti and Bose. They have been working together to combat the many technical challenges of delivering premium audio quality in a car since 1989. Because audio work starts at the inception of each new model’s development, innovative technical solutions are engineered into the car from the start.
Sound Studio by Bose with DAB radio includes navigation and is part of the extensive technology fitted as standard to the limited edition Infiniti Q50 models. Available in either the most popular Premium or Sport versions of the Q50, the Sound Studio by Bose model already comes fully equipped with a wide range of luxury, safety and convenience features.
The Infiniti Q50 Sound Studio by Bose is available in limited edition from October 2015. A choice of two powertrains is offered – a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol with 211 PS and 350 Nm of torque, and a 2.2-litre four-cylinder diesel with 170 PS and 400 Nm of torque. Prices for the petrol version start at £34,090, diesel versions are available from £32,390.
