This week is the start of the
in China. The Auto Show is taking place bi-annually and only started in 1985 but have quickly developed in one of the biggest International Car Shows in the world. The show is taking place from the 21 April 2013 to the 26th of April 2013.
At the Shanghai Auto Show 2013 visitors will be able to see the Volkswagen CrossBlue Concept up-close and personal. Volkswagen have been developing the Volkswagen CrossBlue Concept for some time now and we expect the car to become a production vehicle in the near future.
About the CrossBlue Concept Car by Volkswagen
The Volkswagen CrossBlue is a five seat vehicle that is almost 5 meters long (4.889mm) and just over 2 meters wide (2,015 mm). The Crossblue Concept Car looks sporty and futuristic and well designed.
The CrossBlue Coupé is based on Volkswagen’s new Modular Transverse Matrix (MQB) components set. This would give any production version a large amount of flexibility when it comes to potential power: conventional drive systems with four- or six-cylinder engines could also be used, configured for a variety of fuels (petrol, diesel, CNG).
The TSI engine produces 500 Nm (368 lbs ft) from just 1,800 rpm, while the electric motors produce their torque – 180 Nm (133 lbs ft) at the front and 270 Nm (199 lbs ft) at the rear – immediately. Combined, the system can produce up to 700 Nm (516 lbs ft).
The CrossBlue is a hybrid vehicle, offering drivers the benefit of Electrical drive and petrol or diesel depending on the selected model.
