Leatherhead, February 26th 2025 – Hyundai UK has signed a landmark three-year partnership with MotorSport Vision (MSV), Europe’s largest race circuit operator, further cementing its position at the forefront of automotive innovation and motorsport engagement. The agreement will see nearly 50 Hyundai vehicles deployed across MSV’s operations, reinforcing the brand’s commitment to performance, safety, and driving excellence.
A Comprehensive Partnership Spanning Six Premier UK Circuits
MSV’s extensive network of circuits—Brands Hatch, Donington Park, Oulton Park, Snetterton, Cadwell Park, and Bedford Autodrome—will benefit from Hyundai’s cutting-edge vehicle lineup. This collaboration ensures Hyundai’s presence at over 60 major motorsport events in 2025, including rounds of the British Touring Car Championship, Superbike World Championship, British Superbike Championship, and GT World Challenge.
The partnership underscores Hyundai’s capability across multiple driving disciplines, with vehicles serving in crucial roles such as safety cars, medical response units, course vehicles, and driver training platforms.
IONIQ 5 N: Leading the Charge as an Electrified Safety Car
At the heart of the collaboration is Hyundai’s critically acclaimed IONIQ 5 N, an all-electric hot hatch that has earned accolades such as World Performance Car 2024 and TopGear.com’s Car of the Year 2023. This groundbreaking vehicle will serve as the official safety car for a wide range of professional races, bringing zero-emissions performance to the high-speed world of motorsport.
Complementing the safety car, six IONIQ 5 N Line models will act as course cars, ensuring circuit operations run smoothly. Additionally, MSV will deploy five TUCSON SUVs as medical cars and six All-New SANTA FE SUVs for VIP guest transport, enhancing logistics and trackside efficiency.
Bringing Performance to the Masses with PalmerSport and YoungDrive
The IONIQ 5 N will also feature prominently in PalmerSport, the renowned high-performance driving experience at Bedford Autodrome, founded by MSV’s Chief Executive Officer Jonathan Palmer in 1991. As the first electric vehicle to be integrated into PalmerSport’s fleet, the IONIQ 5 N will offer attendees a first-hand experience of its electrifying capabilities, redefining expectations of EV performance.
For younger enthusiasts, Hyundai’s commitment extends to MSV’s YoungDrive programme, which provides early driving tuition for 11- to 17-year-olds. With 12 Hyundai i10 N Line models allocated to the initiative, aspiring drivers will enjoy a dynamic introduction to motoring in a safe, controlled environment.

Industry Leaders on the Partnership
Jonathan Palmer, CEO of MSV, expressed enthusiasm for the collaboration:
“It has been fascinating to follow Hyundai’s rise in recent years, and its product range now stands among the most compelling in the industry. The IONIQ 5 N in particular represents a revolution in performance EVs, making Hyundai a perfect partner for MSV, which has always championed engineering excellence. I was blown away when I first drove it, and I am thrilled that visitors to PalmerSport will get to experience its thrilling dynamics first-hand.”
