Hyundai Motor Company has once again demonstrated its design prowess by clinching prestigious accolades at the 2024 Red Dot Awards. The renowned automotive giant secured a victory in the Product Design: Cars and Motorcycles category with its latest SANTA FE, a fifth-generation midsize SUV, celebrated for its customer-focused, lifestyle-oriented design.

The new SANTA FE model stands out with its ‘Open for More’ design concept, which emphasizes spaciousness and comfort, making it ideal for outdoor enthusiasts. The vehicle features a long wheelbase resulting in a terrace-like rear space and expanded third-row seating. The exterior boasts an imposing stance with H-shaped headlamps and a bold silhouette, while the interior offers a blend of luxury and practicality with high-tech amenities and sustainable materials.
Adding to its achievements, Hyundai Motor also garnered a Red Dot Award in the Product Design: Outdoor and Camping Equipment category for its innovative Multi-Lantern. This versatile device serves dual purposes as a robust outdoor flashlight and a mood-setting light, inspired by the traditional Korean ‘Horongbul’ lantern, symbolizing stability and warmth.
Designed for ease of use, the Multi-Lantern features a simple one-button operation, USB C-type and wireless charging, ensuring functionality and convenience. It is also built to endure, with an IP65 rating certifying its resistance to dust and water.
The Red Dot Awards, hosted by Design Zentrum Nordrhein Westfalen in Germany, is one of the largest and most acclaimed design competitions globally. It recognizes outstanding design across various categories, including Product Design, Brand & Communication Design, and Design Concept.
