Leatherhead, 25 July 2025 – Hyundai UK has today unveiled its latest customer incentive – the Hyundai Electric Grant – designed to make the switch to zero-emissions driving more accessible than ever. With immediate effect, the grant offers a generous £3,750 saving on the newly crowned 2025 World EV of the Year, the INSTER, and £1,500 off all other award-winning Hyundai electric vehicles, including the KONA Electric, IONIQ 5, IONIQ 6, IONIQ 5 N and the all-new IONIQ 9.
This latest initiative underscores Hyundai’s continued commitment to democratising electric mobility, providing clear, upfront savings for customers without the need for complex applications or waiting periods. The grant is applied automatically at the point of sale across Hyundai UK’s national Retailer network, and is valid on retail, Hyundai Affinity, and Contract Hire purchases.
Empowering the Switch to Electric
“As the electric vehicle landscape continues to evolve, it is important that customers have complete clarity, choice and compelling value when making the switch to electric,” said Ashley Andrew, President of Hyundai and Genesis UK. “Our diverse EV portfolio means we can offer something for every driving need, from the compact and efficient INSTER to our flagship IONIQ 9 seven-seat SUV. By providing immediate financial support through our grant programme, we’re ensuring that more customers can experience the significant long-term savings that come with electric driving.”
In tandem with the grant, Hyundai also offers 24-hour test drives on its electric models, allowing prospective buyers to assess how an EV fits into their daily lives – from routine commutes to family road trips.

Electric Excellence, Unmatched Value
Hyundai’s EV line-up continues to garner critical acclaim globally. The INSTER, a compact electric urban crossover, was named World Electric Vehicle of the Year in 2025 for its innovative design, efficiency, and practicality. The IONIQ 5 and IONIQ 6 are both triple World Car of the Year winners, lauded for their futuristic aesthetics and cutting-edge technology, while the IONIQ 5 N has secured performance accolades, including Top Gear’s Performance Car of the Year. Meanwhile, the new IONIQ 9 introduces a spacious three-row EV to the line-up, marrying premium technology with long-distance electric capability.
Hyundai’s electric strategy is part of its wider ambition to achieve carbon neutrality by 2045. The Hyundai Electric Grant is a step toward that goal, lowering the entry barrier for customers ready to embrace sustainable driving.
Even More Reasons to Go Electric This Summer
In addition to the new grant, Hyundai is also running its Electrifying Summer Event until 31 August. During this limited-time promotion, customers can benefit from an extra £500 off both the INSTER and KONA Electric, on top of the existing grant – bringing potential total savings to as much as £4,250.
