LEATHERHEAD, 3 February 2026 – Hyundai Motor UK has announced that the award-winning KONA Electric is now eligible for the Government’s Electric Car Grant, bringing zero-emission motoring within easier reach for UK drivers.
From 2 February 2026, every KONA Electric qualifies for Electric Car Grant Band 2, offering £1,500 off the on-the-road purchase price. For Motability customers, this reduces the advance payment to just £749, further enhancing accessibility for a wide range of drivers.
KONA Electric continues to impress with its mix of style, specification, and performance. Available in Advance, N Line, N Line S, and Ultimate trims, it combines a high-quality interior with cutting-edge technology and a generous range of up to 319 miles, making it a practical choice for everyday driving and longer journeys alike.
The model’s strong presence in the fleet market is also set to grow with Electric Car Grant eligibility. KONA Electric is now available from £349 + VAT per month on a 6+35 month contract with 8,000 miles per annum – a saving of £38 per month – offering a competitive edge against other electric vehicles while maintaining Hyundai’s hallmark high specifications and efficiency.
