This victory marks the second time in three years that Hyundai’s N brand has secured this honor, following the IONIQ 5 N in 2024. The announcement was made during the 22nd annual World Car Awards ceremony at the 2026 New York International Auto Show, celebrating the brand’s continued commitment to innovation and excellence.
José Muñoz, President and CEO of Hyundai Motor Company, expressed his pride in the achievement, emphasizing that the award reflects the hard work of Hyundai’s engineers, designers, and teams worldwide. “This recognition from the World Car Awards jury means a great deal to the thousands of people at Hyundai who designed, engineered, and built this vehicle. The IONIQ 6 N stands out as a high-performance electric vehicle, delivering thrilling power and precision engineering. With up to 641 hp through N Grin Boost, the car accelerates from 0 to 62 mph in just 3.2 seconds, redefining the electric driving experience. Drivers can enjoy features like N e-Shift, which simulates a traditional gearshift for a more engaging drive, and N Active Sound+, which enhances the auditory thrill of performance driving. Complementing this is advanced battery technology, with an 84.0 kWh battery capable of charging from 10 to 80 percent in just 18 minutes using a 350-kW charger under optimal conditions.
