Hanover, Germany – 07 November 2025 — Horse Powertrain is set to make a significant impact at AGRITECHNICA 2025 as it unveils an extensive portfolio of innovative propulsion and range-extender solutions developed specifically for the agricultural and industrial sectors. Exhibiting under its Horse Technologies division, the company reinforces its ambition to support global markets with adaptable, low-emission, and highly efficient powertrain systems. Visitors can explore the full showcase at Hall 15, Stand 15H1 from 9 to 15 November at the Hanover Expo.
A Dual Approach: Direct Propulsion and Range-Extender Innovation
Horse Powertrain’s display spans both traditional and emerging propulsion technologies, with engines designed for direct vehicle drive as well as purpose-built systems tailored for range-extended electric vehicles (REEVs). This dual emphasis reflects the increasingly diverse requirements of modern agricultural operations, where flexibility, reduced emissions, and operational efficiency are paramount.
One of the stand highlights is the integration of the new HORSE S10 engine into a prototype Corvus Terrain utility terrain vehicle (UTV), marking a tangible demonstration of the company’s entry into the off-road and agricultural mobility segment.
HORSE S10: Compact, Adaptable, and Ready for Global Deployment
At the centre of the display is the HORSE S10, a 1-litre, three-cylinder engine engineered for global industrial applications and capable of operating on gasoline, ethanol, or flex-fuel blends. With an output of 57 kW at 6,250 rpm and certified to Stage V emissions standards, the S10 represents a versatile and sustainable solution for compact machinery and light-duty applications.
As part of an ongoing collaboration with Corvus — one of Europe’s leading UTV manufacturers — the engine will be showcased in situ within a prototype Corvus Terrain UTV. The installation underscores the unit’s adaptability, robust design, and suitability for demanding off-road environments.
HORSE H10 REX: High-Efficiency Charging for Agricultural EVs
The H10 REX, designed specifically for range-extended electric vehicles, delivers up to 70 kW of continuous electric power from its 1-litre, three-cylinder engine. Optimised for petrol or ethanol, it supports electrical architectures of up to 800 V, unlocking fast-charging capabilities essential for agricultural EVs requiring long operational uptime. The system meets stringent EU6d and PROCONVE L-8 emissions standards.
HORSE K15 REX: Diesel Power with Multi-Fuel Capability
For machinery requiring higher loads and long operating cycles, the HORSE K15 REX introduces a 1.5-litre, four-cylinder diesel unit producing 65 kW of continuous electrical power. Compatible with traditional diesel, synthetic diesel, or blends containing up to 10% biodiesel, the K15 REX delivers the durability required for industrial and agricultural equipment while enabling 800 V fast-charging support for hybrid and electric platforms.
HORSE M20 REX: Heavy-Duty Performance for Large-Scale Machinery
Designed for high-demand agricultural and industrial EVs, the HORSE M20 REX features a 2-litre, four-cylinder diesel engine capable of generating 105 kW of continuous electric power. With EU6d compliance and compatibility with 800 V architectures, the M20 provides a powerful and efficient energy source for large, electrified machinery where sustained output is non-negotiable.
Leadership Perspectives: Expanding into Agriculture and UTV Markets
Patrice Haettel, Chief Executive Officer of the Horse Technologies Division, emphasised the strategic importance of this product range:
“Our modular powertrain solutions are designed with performance and efficiency in mind. In addition, they’re also compatible with biofuels, e-fuels, and flex-fuel blends — enabling their use in a range of markets. In entering the agricultural powertrain market, Horse Powertrain is proving the value of our systems to off-road industries and reducing the emissions burden of their vehicles.”
This showcase marks Horse Powertrain’s first formal entry into the agricultural sector, deepening its presence within an industry undergoing rapid electrification and diversification. The collaboration with Corvus also extends the company’s reach into recreational UTVs and Side-by-Side (SbS) vehicles — a segment poised for significant technological evolution.
Enric Rabassa, CEO and Chief Engineer at Corvus, highlighted the alignment of values between the two companies:
“For Corvus, working with Horse Powertrain means bringing automotive standards to UTV and SbS that were not previously applied in this sector. This alliance allows us to strengthen our professional offering and, at the same time, confidently explore a real qualitative leap for recreational vehicles. We are convinced that this alliance is the perfect way to accelerate our innovation with European technology that is reliable, enjoyable, and designed for real working conditions.”
