Honda Motor Europe (UK) has once again set the benchmark for automotive dependability, claiming first place in the prestigious 2025 What Car? Reliability Survey with an impressive overall score of 96.6%. This accolade underscores Honda’s enduring commitment to engineering excellence, innovative design, and customer satisfaction.
The survey, widely regarded as one of the most comprehensive assessments of vehicle reliability, drew on the experiences of 32,493 owners across the UK, encompassing 30 brands and 227 models. Participants reported whether their vehicles—aged up to five years—had experienced any faults in the preceding 24 months. The results were evaluated not only on the presence of faults but also on repair duration and costs, culminating in a definitive reliability score expressed as a percentage.
Honda’s success was led by the exceptional performance of its key models. The Jazz, HR-V, and Civic all demonstrated remarkably low fault rates and minimal downtime, reinforcing the brand’s reputation for quality and dependability. Notably, the HR-V achieved the highest score of 97.5%, closely followed by the Civic at 97.3%, while all five Honda models in the survey received exceptionally high marks.

Rebecca Adamson, Head of Automobile at Honda Motor Europe (UK), commented:
“This is an incredible achievement and one we are extremely proud of at Honda. Reliability is a cornerstone of our brand, and this recognition reflects the trust our customers place in us. In 2025 and beyond, we remain committed to delivering vehicles that not only inspire but also stand the test of time.”
Echoing this sentiment, Claire Evans, What Car? consumer editor, noted:
“Honda is a deserving winner of this year’s What Car? Reliability Survey. Just 15% of Honda vehicles in the survey experienced any issues—and all were fixed free of charge by the car maker. More than half of the affected cars were in and out of the workshop in less than a day.”
This accolade reinforces Honda’s longstanding reputation for producing vehicles that combine performance, practicality, and peace of mind. From city-savvy hatchbacks like the Jazz to versatile SUVs such as the HR-V and Civic, Honda continues to offer models that meet the demands of drivers across the UK.
As the automotive landscape evolves, Honda’s commitment to quality, reliability, and customer care ensures that its vehicles remain a trusted choice for discerning drivers.
