In a groundbreaking move towards a greener logistics future, HIVED—the UK’s only fully electric end-to-end delivery company—has placed an order for 11 Mercedes-Benz eActros trucks. The purchase includes nine eActros 600 and two eActros 400 models, reinforcing HIVED’s commitment to sustainable, emissions-free parcel deliveries across the middle and final mile.
Scaling Sustainable Logistics
HIVED’s latest fleet expansion comes as it continues to grow its nationwide middle-mile network, seamlessly connecting retailer warehouses with end customers. By investing in cutting-edge electric heavy goods vehicles (eHGVs), HIVED is setting a new benchmark for sustainability in the logistics industry, where mixed fleets remain the standard.
The eActros 600, recently crowned International Truck of the Year 2025, is the ideal choice for HIVED’s operations. With a battery capacity exceeding 600 kWh, it boasts a range of at least 500 km (310 miles) on a single charge. This makes it a formidable alternative to traditional diesel HGVs, reducing both carbon emissions and operational costs.
Investing in Infrastructure
To support the deployment of its eActros fleet, HIVED is taking a bold step by investing in megawatt charging stations at its key hubs in West London, the Midlands, and Manchester. These high-power chargers—still a rarity in the UK—will allow the eActros 600 to charge from 20% to 80% in just 30 minutes, significantly reducing downtime and ensuring efficiency on long-haul routes.
Industry Leaders Welcome the Shift
Stuart Jeggo, Sales & Marketing Director of Daimler Truck UK Limited, expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership:
“HIVED’s rapid growth in the UK is extremely impressive, so we are delighted to be the chosen partner for their first eHGVs. I look forward to seeing the first vehicles delivered and out on the road later this year.”

James Venables, Head of Future Sustainability at Daimler Truck UK Limited, highlighted the significance of HIVED’s business model:
“HIVED’s commitment to an all-electric delivery service is a great example of how switching to electric trucks can enhance sustainability across the industry. This progressive, future-focused company is the ideal partner for us and the eActros.”
Redefining the Logistics Industry
Mathias Krieger, Co-founder and Chief Product Officer at HIVED, underscored the game-changing nature of this fleet expansion:
“This is a major moment for the logistics industry. In a sector where the norm is to operate mixed fleets, HIVED is breaking the mold by running a 100% electric delivery network across both the middle and final mile. With the eActros, we continue to redefine what a modern delivery company should look like.”
A Future-Proofed Delivery Model
By pioneering the shift to all-electric logistics at scale, HIVED is proving that sustainability and efficiency can go hand in hand. With the integration of Mercedes-Benz eActros into its fleet and the rollout of megawatt chargers, the company is well-positioned to drive meaningful change in the parcel delivery sector—one emission-free mile at a time.
