Ingolstadt, April 9, 2024 – Audi has elevated the compact sports segment with the launch of the revamped Audi S3, presenting a fusion of augmented performance, advanced technology, and distinctive aesthetics. Available in both Sportback and Saloon variants, the refreshed model is set to hit the market in May, promising a comprehensive suite of enhancements that push the boundaries of driving dynamics and design expression.
At the heart of the Audi S3’s evolution lies a significant boost in power; the 2.0 TFSI engine now delivers 333 PS and 420 Nm of torque. This upgrade translates into a quicker 0-62 mph acceleration time of just 4.7 seconds, while the top speed remains electronically capped at 155 mph. Engineers have refined the engine and the seven-speed S tronic transmission for a more spirited driving experience, ensuring immediate response and enhanced performance throughout the rev range.
The introduction of the torque splitter in the S3 marks a leap forward in driving dynamics, mirroring the technology found in the higher-tier RS 3. This feature allows for precise torque distribution between the rear wheels, enhancing the vehicle’s agility and stability across various driving conditions. The newly introduced dynamic plus mode in the Audi drive select system emphasizes the S3’s sporty character, enabling drivers to experience heightened dynamics and an exhilarating drive.

Aesthetic updates complement the S3’s mechanical advancements, with a striking front design, a sporty rear diffuser, and a four-pipe performance exhaust system underscoring the model’s dynamic capabilities. The vehicle’s suspension system has also received significant upgrades, including stiffer wishbones and new pivot bearings for improved steering response and cornering stability. The standard S sports suspension and optional adaptive dampers further refine the driving experience, adapting to different driving styles and conditions.
Braking performance has been enhanced with larger, ventilated front brake discs, ensuring that the S3’s increased power is matched by superior stopping capabilities. The car’s exterior design has been refined, featuring a hexagonal, frameless Singleframe grille, L-shaped design elements, and a new bumper design at the rear. The S3 also offers new metallic finishes, including District Green, Ascari Blue, and Progressive Red, with Daytona Grey available in a matte finish for the first time.
Inside, the S3 boasts a sharper, more refined interior with numerous updates ranging from the shifter design to the decorative fabric inlays and new interior lighting, enhancing the cabin’s premium feel. The standard ambient light package plus introduces contour lighting, adding to the vehicle’s sophisticated ambiance.
Digital connectivity and functionality are at the forefront, with the S3 offering a wide array of connect services, functions on demand, and a dedicated store for apps. This ensures that drivers enjoy a seamlessly connected experience, with the ability to personalize their ride through advanced infotainment and digital services.
The Audi S3’s latest iteration sets a new standard in the compact sports segment, offering an unparalleled blend of performance, technology, and style.
