Petrolheadonism Underground made a triumphant return to Wembley in April 2024, following a sensational debut in 2023 that garnered international acclaim and numerous accolades.
This year, the event featured even more attractions, renowned creators, and exclusive, unique cars. However, the highlight was the diverse range of showcases, including a groundbreaking live Pop Art painting on a limited-run Lamborghini.
The creative genius behind the Underground event, curator Ciro Ciampi, has a knack for crafting unparalleled experiences for car enthusiasts. Ciro devised an innovative plan to spotlight one of the event’s sponsors, XPEL UK, known for its vehicle interior and exterior protection products. The challenge was to generate excitement around a product like clear PPF, which is virtually invisible. The solution? Invite the acclaimed Automotive TV Presenter and Artist Helen Stanley, who has collaborated with Liberty Walk Japan and Europe, Petrolheadonism, and other notable entities, to apply her vibrant Pop Art style to one of the UK’s most popular YouTubers’ cars.

Mark McCann, Stock Car World Champion, YouTuber, Businessman, and Car Collector, graciously offered his pristine white Lamborghini Huracan Sterrato as a blank canvas for Helen’s distinctive artistry. XPEL applied the PPF beforehand, and Helen prepared her paints, ready to transform the Sterrato. Over the course of the two-day event, spectators were captivated as they watched the Sterrato evolve into a dazzling, mobile Pop Art masterpiece.
The aftermath of the live Pop Art transformation saw hundreds of thousands of enthusiasts tuning in across various social media platforms, flooding the channels with positive and enthusiastic feedback. The news of this creation spread rapidly, and in the following days, the stunning Lamborghini Art Car was paraded through the charming medieval city of St Albans and Central London. Wherever the car went, it attracted crowds, awestruck by its rare and exquisite appearance. Public reactions were captured for social media, and the feedback was overwhelmingly positive—should Mark keep the new Pop Art look for his Sterrato?
Thanks to Mark McCann, Helen Stanley, XPEL, and Petrolheadonism Underground for bringing this extraordinary work of art to the UK roads. What’s next? Stay tuned!
