Kicking off on the 16th of July 2022, The Red Bull Quicksand is infamously known as one of the most difficult ‘1- mile’ races that will put 600 competitors to the ultimate test across sandy tracks and obstacles. With gruelling rounds of heats, semi-finals, and the grand finale, the entrants will face rigid courses, sandy climbs, giant sandcastles, and tiresome trenches to prove their might. Each competitor will use a Digital Timing Chip to track times with the leader board on display throughout the event for runners and spectators to monitor.
Fitness enthusiasts, everyday runners, and the most hardened of athletes among us will soon flock to one of Durban’s beautiful beaches to participate and push themselves to their limits.
