Hagerty’s world-renowned Festival of the Unexceptional (FOTU) is back for another spectacular celebration of the ordinary on Saturday, 26th July 2025, at the stunning Grimsthorpe Castle, Lincolnshire. This year’s edition promises to be the biggest and best yet, featuring beloved automotive personalities Jonny Smith and Richard Porter, hosts of the acclaimed podcast Smith and Sniff.
Star Guests and Live Entertainment
Returning by popular demand after their standout appearances at FOTU 2024, Jonny and Richard will once again take centre stage, bringing their signature mix of humour, trivia, and automotive passion to the event. Attendees can look forward to a packed schedule of live entertainment, including:
- The Wheeltrim of Misfortune: This exhilarating quiz show sees contestants spin a giant wheeltrim to determine their trivia category, with Richard Porter crafting the questions from his Boring Car Trivia book series. Two one-hour shows will take place, each culminating in the presentation of a delightfully “unexceptional” trophy.
- Live Podcast Recording: Fans will have the rare opportunity to witness a Smith and Sniff podcast recorded live on stage, complete with an audience Q&A session. As always, the duo’s unscripted banter ensures an unpredictable and highly entertaining experience.
- Exclusive Meet-and-Greet & Merchandise: Jonny and Richard will have a dedicated area, featuring a curated display of cars selected by the pair. Visitors can also purchase exclusive merchandise and meet the duo when they are not on stage.
