Over the last couple of years we have reported on several Google Doodles as they appear on Google International Homepages from time to time.
Today 6 December 2013 it is with sadness that we report on Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela’s death and Google’s announcement of his death on ALL their international search engine homepages today. Although Google did not announce Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela death today with a Google Doodle they have announced it with a simple yet powerful message just below the Google Doodle saying “Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela, 1918 – 2013”

Nelson Mandela passed away last night 5 December 2013 after a long sickbed in his home in Houghton Johannesburg South Africa.
