Hispano Suiza is poised to make a spectacular return to the track at the prestigious Goodwood Festival of Speed, marking the dynamic debut of the newly unveiled Hispano Suiza Carmen Sagrera. This ultimate hypercar completes the Carmen range, embodying the pinnacle of luxury and performance.

Celebrating its 120th anniversary, Hispano Suiza will present a stronger presence than ever before at Goodwood, one of the automotive world’s most renowned events. The festival, which attracts nearly 200,000 visitors over four days, brings together the world’s leading car manufacturers, making it the ideal platform for Hispano Suiza to showcase its latest marvels.

This year, Hispano Suiza will host its own stand, inviting thousands of enthusiasts to experience the brand’s innovation firsthand. The Carmen Sagrera will be unveiled in the UK for the first time, with a special presentation for the media and dignitaries, including The Duke of Richmond, the event’s founder. The press conference, set for Thursday, July 11, at 11:00 am, will be led by British model, entrepreneur, and racing driver Jodie Kidd.

Hispano Suiza will also participate in the highly anticipated Goodwood Hillclimb. The Carmen Sagrera, with its impressive 1,114 hp of electric power, will make its debut on this iconic stage, driven by Luis Pérez-Sala. Additionally, motorsport enthusiasts will have the opportunity to witness the Carmen Boulogne in action, as it ascends Goodwood Hill on Thursday while the Sagrera remains on display at the stand.

The Hispano Suiza stand will feature an exclusive pre-sale of the brand’s new Capsule Collection, celebrating the Gentleman Driver. This sporty line pays homage to the company’s competitive heritage, offering popular items such as polo shirts, t-shirts, raincoats, and caps. Following the event, the collection will be available on the brand’s online boutique: Hispano Suiza Boutique.

Hispano Suiza will also be showcased in the Supercar Paddock, highlighting the event’s top-performing models. Luis Pérez-Sala, Hispano Suiza’s Driver and Brand Ambassador, will host a ‘Meet & Greet’ on Friday, July 12, and Saturday, July 13, providing visitors with an immersive experience into the Hispano Suiza world.

The Hispano Suiza Carmen Sagrera
Revealed on June 13, 2024, in celebration of the company’s 120th anniversary, the Hispano Suiza Carmen Sagrera represents the latest evolution in the brand’s legacy. The Sagrera features the brand’s second generation of batteries, with a capacity increased to 103 kWh. The advanced lithium-ion cells, arranged in 15 modules of 24 cells each (totaling 360), weigh just 612 kg and can operate at a maximum voltage of over 750VDC.

The battery upgrade enhances energy density, extending the vehicle’s range by approximately 100 km, bringing the total to 480 km according to the WLTP cycle. The Carmen Sagrera also boasts an improved cooling system, lighter and more sustainable, reflecting the brand’s commitment to innovation and efficiency.

Design and Performance
The Carmen Sagrera’s design is a bold statement of intent, with a front-end grille reminiscent of the luxurious Hispano Suiza Alfonso XIII sports cars of the early 20th century. Redesigned front bonnet vents seamlessly integrate with the rear, improving both aesthetics and functionality. New side sills and a significant rear-end redesign, including a large spoiler inspired by the brand’s stork logo, enhance the vehicle’s aerodynamic profile.

Inside, the Carmen Sagrera features a sporty yet luxurious ambiance, with a redesigned center console and infotainment system upholstered in alcantara with black and red leather details. The multimedia system offers comprehensive connectivity and customizable welcome messages for users.

Advanced Technology
The Sagrera is powered by four 205 kW (approximately 275 hp) motors, delivering a combined output of 1,114 hp and 1,160 Nm of torque, accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.6 seconds. The motors are axial-flux permanent magnet, connected in series, with two on each rear wheel.

The transmission features a virtual self-locking differential, ensuring optimal track performance and efficient torque transfer to the Michelin Pilot Sport 4 S tires. Developed with Michelin’s technical center, these tires are inspired by the storks and mosaics of Antoni Gaudí, adding a unique touch to the vehicle’s exclusivity.

The Sagrera’s suspension system, based on extensive dynamic simulations, delivers racing-level performance with adjustable shock absorbers and coil springs. The lightweight suspension components are crafted from military-grade materials, ensuring strength and durability. Aerospace and racing-grade bolts provide bulletproof fastening.

The braking system features single-block brake calipers for superior rigidity and feel, 400mm carboceramic discs on both axles, and enhanced cooling for high-performance operation. A stiffer pedal board and specific steering adjustments complete the upgraded system, providing 5% more braking power.
