As the 2025 motorsport season approaches, Goodwood has unveiled an exciting addition to its lineup—the new Win Percy Trophy, set to be a highlight of the 82nd Members’ Meeting presented by Audrain Motorsport. This event, scheduled for Saturday, April 12, and Sunday, April 13, 2025, promises to captivate motorsport enthusiasts with a spectacular showcase of Group 1 touring cars under 3-litre that raced between 1970 and 1982.
Named in honor of the legendary Win Percy, a three-time British Touring Car Champion and a prominent figure in British motorsport history, the Win Percy Trophy will bring together a remarkable collection of compact yet powerful racers. This event offers a unique opportunity for smaller cars that previously competed in the Gordon Spice Trophy to take center stage. Iconic models like the Mini 1275GT, VW Golf, and Ford Fiesta will battle it out in a thrilling 45-minute race at Goodwood’s historic Motor Circuit.
The race format, designed to emphasize the agility and speed of these compact machines, will feature two drivers per car. This dynamic setup will see some of the world’s greatest drivers—including Grand Prix winners, 24 Hours of Le Mans victors, and Touring Car Champions—compete head-to-head for the coveted cup. Win Percy, often regarded as the world’s most successful non-Antipodean driver in Australia’s premier motorsport event, the Bathurst 1000km, expressed his excitement about the new race: “As a regular visitor to Goodwood, and having raced touring cars throughout my career, it’s an honor to have the new race at the 82nd Members’ Meeting named after me. Goodwood Road Racing Club (GRRC) members will have the first chance to secure tickets for the 82nd Members’ Meeting starting Monday, August 19, 2024. Following this, tickets will be available to GRRC Fellows on Wednesday, August 28, 2024. Early bird discounts of 15% are available to those who book before December 31, 2024, making it an ideal time to secure a spot at this eagerly anticipated season opener.
