Modena, 2 July 2025 – The Maserati GT2, the Trident brand’s modern racing masterpiece, is no longer just a dominant force in Europe—it’s now a globe-trotting contender. Following a commanding presence in the GT2 European Series powered by Pirelli, the Maserati GT2 is officially eligible to compete in over 20 championship series, spanning more than 170 races and over 100 race weekends across five continents.
This expanded eligibility marks a bold new chapter for Maserati Corse, one that opens doors for teams and gentleman drivers worldwide to experience the visceral performance of the GT2 on an international stage. From the Nürburgring to Bathurst, from Kyalami to Fuji Speedway, Maserati is bringing its motorsport legacy to a global audience.
“We’re very proud we can further increase the range of competitions in which Maserati GT2 can participate,” said Maria Conti, Head of Maserati Corse. “We promised we would return to closed-wheel racing and we did so—reaping a season of great successes. Now, driven by the extraordinary interest we’ve received, we’re expanding our reach even further.”
A Winning Formula: From Europe to the World
Maserati’s comeback to GT racing has been nothing short of triumphant. After debuting at the 2023 Fanatec GT2 European Series finale at Circuit Paul Ricard, the Maserati GT2 wrapped up its first full season in 2024 with multiple accolades: the Am class Drivers’ Title, 16 pole positions, 12 victories, and a podium streak across both Pro-Am and Am classes.
That momentum has carried into the 2025 season, with round four at Spa-Francorchamps reinforcing the GT2’s championship credentials. For 2026, the series will expand to include a Silver class and a proposed three-hour endurance race at Spa, with support from Maserati through the SRO GT Academy.

Endurance Excellence and Elite Series Eligibility
The Maserati GT2’s performance credentials and adaptability make it ideal for endurance challenges, such as the MICHELIN 24H SERIES, where it competes in the GTX class. Designed for mixed teams of amateur and semi-pro drivers, this series offers world-class tracks and rigorous formats, with standout events like the 24H Dubai and races at Sepang, Paul Ricard, and Yas Marina.
