A piece of music and motoring history is set to hit the auction block this November, as George Michael’s personal Range Rover V8 Vogue headlines Hampson’s ‘Big End of Year Auction’. The sale takes place at the historic Bolesworth Castle on Sunday, 23 November, offering collectors and fans a rare chance to own an iconic vehicle once driven by the legendary singer and composer.
Finished in its original Oslo Blue with a Charcoal leather interior, this third-generation Range Rover Vogue has been lovingly preserved in largely unmodified condition. The car comes complete with a comprehensive history file, including the V5 registration document in George Michael’s birth name, Georgios Kyriacos Panayiotou, and retains its original registration, SB52 XZP. A folder of images captures the car during the artist’s everyday use, offering a glimpse into its unique provenance.
Beneath the bonnet sits a BMW-derived 4.4-litre V8 engine, paired with a five-speed automatic transmission, delivering the refined performance expected of a Range Rover of this calibre. Inside, the cabin features plush leather upholstery, walnut veneer trim, Harman Kardon audio, and dual-zone climate control, maintaining the luxurious Vogue specification synonymous with the era.
In homage to George Michael’s enduring legacy of generosity, Hampson Auctions will donate a portion of the proceeds to one of the late singer’s preferred charities, adding a philanthropic element to this historic sale.
The auction also features an impressive array of high-profile lots, many offered at No Reserve. Among them is a 2018 Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG Edition 1, enhanced with the distinctive Brabus styling package, including carbon-fibre accents, upgraded gloss black alloy wheels with red highlights, and Brabus badging. Inside, the cabin exudes performance luxury with quilted black and red Nappa leather, carbon-fibre trim, and meticulous detailing throughout.
Hampson’s ‘Big End of Year Auction’ promises a spectacular finale to 2025, blending automotive excellence with cultural significance, and giving enthusiasts the opportunity to acquire vehicles steeped in history, style, and prestige.
