General Motors South Africa Recognises Dealer Partners At Gala Dinner
General Motors South Africa (GMSA) held its annual Dealer Honours Awards at the Zimbali Resort in Durban on Friday 22 February.

Each year General Motors South Africa holds its Dealer Honours awards in recognition of their best performing dealers. Dealers are judged on four key criteria, namely Customer Enthusiasm, Sales Performance, Financial Performance and GM Difference conformance.
“The purpose of the 2012 GMSA Honours programme is to recognise and reward dealer excellence. In addition the programme is designed to reward those dealers who show excellence from an improvement perspective,” says Malcolm Gauld, GM South Africa’s Vice President of Vehicle Sales, Service and Marketing.
This year three dealers walked away with the coveted dealer of the year in their respective category. The dealers are categorised by size as small, medium or major. Brokensha’s won Dealer of the Year – Small, Weskaap Motors won Dealer of the Year – Medium, and Westvaal Lichtenburg won Dealer of the Year – Major.
Special awards were awarded to six dealers who excelled in providing outstanding Sales and Service experience. In the 2012 Sales CSI Dealer category Auto House Piet Retief led the small dealers, Jacksons Queenstown received top honours for medium dealers and Key Pietermaritzburg won the award for major dealers.
The 2012 Service CSI Dealer award for small dealers went to Outovaria Motors, Jacksons Queenstown scooped another award for medium dealers and Bates Port Shepstone for major dealers.
“As a company we put emphasise on customer satisfaction and I am pleased to see such a high level of performance from our dealer partners in delivering an outstanding sales and service experience to our customers,” concluded Gauld.
GM South Africa has 132 who sell and service Chevrolet, Opel and Isuzu vehicles throughout South Africa.
