In a dazzling display of pyrotechnic mastery and community spirit, BBB Fireworks has made history by winning the British Firework Championships 2024. The event, which took place on the 14th and 15th of August in Plymouth, saw over 100,000 spectators gather to witness the most spectacular firework shows in the UK. This year’s championship was particularly momentous, marking the first time a bonfire society was invited to compete and, ultimately, to win.
BBB Fireworks, the victorious team, is backed by Culverwells Isuzu, an East-Sussex dealership renowned for its long-standing commitment to the community. Culverwells provided crucial support with two Isuzu D-Max pick-ups, essential for transporting the team and their equipment. One of these vehicles, a demonstration model fitted with multiple ARB accessories, including a useful awning, played a vital role during the setup phase.
The British Firework Championships, established in 1997, is celebrated as the UK’s premier fireworks competition. Each of the six participating teams had the opportunity to showcase their craft in a 10-minute display, launched from the Mountbatten Breakwater. The competition is fierce, with displays judged on technical precision and the ‘big-bang wow factor.’ BBB Fireworks stood out with their impressive performance, clinching the title of British Champions.
Culverwells Isuzu’s support extended beyond transportation; they also sponsored the team shirts, emblazoned with the dealership’s logo.
