Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Welcomes 2024-25 Intern Class to Goodwood

Rolls-Royce Motor Cars has proudly introduced its latest group of interns, the “class of 2024-25,” to the esteemed Home of Rolls-Royce at Goodwood. This year, 90 undergraduates from various universities across the UK will join the prestigious Internship Programme, embarking on a 13-month journey designed to provide them with invaluable professional experience.

These interns will take on paid, full-time roles across a diverse array of departments, including Engineering, Bespoke Design, Finance, Sales and Marketing, IT, Human Resources, and Corporate Communications. This immersive experience is an integral part of their undergraduate studies, offering them a unique opportunity to apply their academic knowledge in a real-world setting.

The Internship Programme is a key component of Rolls-Royce’s Future Talent Programme, which also encompasses Apprenticeships, including Degree options, and a Graduate Scheme. Applications for the 2025-26 intake are set to open later this year.

Mark Adams, Director of Human Resources at Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, expressed his enthusiasm for the new interns:

“Welcoming a new cohort of interns to the Home of Rolls-Royce at Goodwood is always very special. We’re inspired and excited by their potential, commitment, and enthusiasm. The interns will spend 13 months learning from our experienced team, but their fresh ideas and perspectives mean we also learn a lot from them. Our Future Talent Programme is central to the long-term future of our business, and many of our interns return to the business following the completion of their university studies. I have no doubt that the ‘class of 2024-25’ will be no different. We’re delighted to welcome our new colleagues and we look forward to watching them grow and develop with us.”

To facilitate a smooth transition from academia to the workplace, the new interns attended a networking day at Goodwood earlier this year. This event, led by the current intern cohort, provided the newcomers with insights into the Internship Programme and allowed them to meet their future managers, teammates, and peers, fostering early connections and easing their integration into the company.

While an internship does not guarantee future employment, many interns return after graduation to build long-term careers with Rolls-Royce. A notable example is Luke Strudwick, who began his journey with Rolls-Royce as a Communications intern in 2017. After completing his degree, Luke joined the company as a Corporate Communications Executive and progressed through various roles to become the Sustainability and Corporate Communications Manager. This year, he will be mentoring one of the new interns.

Luke Strudwick shared his positive experience with the Internship Programme:

“The Internship Programme at Rolls-Royce Motor Cars is incredibly rewarding, and it has provided me with the skills, confidence, and business acumen to allow me to progress in my career. The support and responsibility provided to interns, along with the experience of working for such a prestigious marque, has supported my development and resulted in me further progressing my career within the company.”

Since its inception in 2003, the Internship Programme at Rolls-Royce has grown annually, reflecting the company’s commitment to nurturing talent and providing career development opportunities. Rolls-Royce is dedicated to investing in and supporting individuals from all walks of life to achieve their professional potential.
