Mustang GT3 Makes Memorable Le Mans Debut with Podium Finish
LE MANS, FRANCE, June 18, 2024 – Ford Mustang GT3 marked its debut at the prestigious 24 Hours of Le Mans with an impressive performance, securing a third-place finish in the fiercely competitive LMGT3 category. This achievement, alongside a solid fourth place, highlighted Mustang’s return to the global stage of endurance racing in its 60th anniversary year.
In a grueling race at Circuit de la Sarthe, all three Mustang GT3s showcased exceptional resilience and pace. The No. 88 car, driven by Dennis Olsen (NOR), Giorgio Roda (ITA), and Mikkel O. Pedersen (CAN), led the charge with a remarkable podium finish. Despite early challenges, Olsen’s skillful maneuvers propelled the car through the field, setting the stage for a podium contention that they maintained throughout the race.

The No. 44 Mustang GT3, piloted by Chris Mies (GER), Ben Tuck (GBR), and John Hartshorne (GBR), contributed to the team’s success with a solid fourth-place finish. Mies praised the car’s reliability and performance, expressing optimism for future races.
