FIAT has unveiled the next evolution of its iconic urban vehicle with the debut of the Grande Panda Hybrid, a smart, stylish, and electrified B-segment car engineered to meet the demands of today’s global cityscapes. Following the successful launch of the fully electric version, the hybrid variant marks FIAT’s return to the heart of the B-segment with a car that blends iconic Italian design, modern engineering, and democratic pricing—starting at under €19,000.

This isn’t just a new model; it’s a strategic milestone. The Grande Panda Hybrid represents FIAT’s commitment to accessibility, urban sustainability, and emotional mobility, reigniting the brand’s historic ability to move the masses—this time, with electrified intelligence.

Designed in Italy, Built for the World

Born in Mirafiori, Turin—FIAT’s design and manufacturing epicentre—the Grande Panda is more than a car; it’s the first in a new global family of vehicles built on Stellantis’ highly flexible Smart Car Platform. Supporting both hybrid and electric powertrains, the architecture ensures global adaptability, catering to a broad spectrum of markets and mobility needs.

Compact yet cleverly packaged, the Grande Panda measures just under four metres in length, yet comfortably seats five passengers, delivering class-leading shoulder space and intelligent interior solutions. Its compact footprint is tailored for tight urban environments while offering true family practicality.

A Smarter Kind of Hybrid

At the heart of the Grande Panda Hybrid is FIAT’s new T-Gen3 hybrid powertrain, pairing a 1.2-litre three-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine with a 48-volt lithium-ion battery and an integrated 21kW electric motor. The system is controlled by a 6-speed eDCT dual-clutch transmission that offers seamless integration between electric and combustion power.

This setup enables features like e-parking, e-launch, and e-creeping, allowing the car to drive up to 1 kilometre in full-electric mode at low speeds. The result is an urban driving experience that is smooth, quiet, and significantly more efficient, backed by regenerative braking and the fuel-saving Miller cycle combustion process.

Retro Charm Meets Modern Confidence

Visually, the Grande Panda is a striking reinterpretation of its 1980s namesake. Designed with boldness and a nod to nostalgia, the car features distinctive PXL LED headlamps, blacked-out pillars, and boxy tail lamps that create a strong, instantly recognisable presence. Subtle yet clever details—like embossed “PANDA” side scripts and the lenticular C-pillar graphic—reinforce its authentic personality.

Customers can choose from three trims—POP, ICON, and LA PRIMA—with multiple exterior colours carried over from the launch edition of the BEV, offering plenty of room for personalisation.

Crafted for Comfort and Conscious Design

Inside, the Grande Panda Hybrid surprises with its Blu Tasmania interior palette, enhanced by vibrant yellow detailing and sustainable materials. With 412 litres of boot space and numerous modular storage compartments—including a smart 13-litre dashboard—the cabin feels both playful and practical.

Sustainability is deeply woven into its fabric, quite literally. The dashboard in LA PRIMA models is finished in BAMBOX Bamboo Fiber Tex®, a unique material made with 33% natural bamboo fibres. Additionally, each Grande Panda incorporates elements made from 140 recycled beverage cartons, showcasing FIAT’s commitment to circular materials and eco-conscious craftsmanship.

Trims Tailored for Every Urban Lifestyle

  • POP: Essentials, done right. Includes ADAS features, a 10” digital cluster, eDCT transmission, manual A/C, and NFC smartphone station with Autolaunch.
  • ICON: Enhanced tech and style. Adds a 10.25” touchscreen, full LED lighting, and customisable packs (Tech, Style, Winter) for a tailored experience.
  • LA PRIMA: Fully loaded. Combines all available packs with premium finishes, 17” alloy wheels, and exclusive use of sustainable BAMBOX materials.

Safe, Connected, and Always in Touch

Every Grande Panda Hybrid is equipped with a robust Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) suite, including Cruise Control, Active Safety Brake, Lane Keeping Assist, and more. Higher trims add front parking sensors and a rearview camera for added convenience.

Connectivity is equally strong, thanks to a dual-screen setup—a 10” digital cluster and a 10.25” infotainment display with wireless smartphone mirroring. USB-C ports, wireless charging, and over-the-air services round out the connected experience, with Connect ONE and Connect PLUS service plans ensuring drivers stay informed and supported.

Make It Yours with Authentic Accessories

With over 100 Authentic Accessories, customers can make their Grande Panda uniquely theirs. From coloured panels and roof bars to eco-conscious design touches, the accessories range reflects the model’s dual personality: urban practicality with playful expression.

Electrified Mobility for All

Now available at FIAT dealerships across Europe, the Grande Panda Hybrid delivers a compelling case for electrified mobility at an accessible price point. It’s more than just a smart car—it’s a bold re-entry into the B-segment, infused with Italian spirit, forward-thinking design, and a promise of sustainable mobility for everyone.

The Grande Panda Hybrid: Iconic, Electrified, and Incredibly Attainable.
