Maranello, 9 October 2024 – Ferrari has once again redefined luxury and innovation with the unveiling of a one-of-a-kind version of the Roma Spider, meticulously crafted by the marque’s prestigious Tailor Made department. This unique masterpiece is now on display at the Enzo Ferrari Museum in Modena as part of the highly anticipated ‘One of a Kind’ exhibition, a celebration of Ferrari’s bespoke personalisation offerings.
The Ferrari Roma Spider showcased at the exhibition exemplifies the cutting-edge techniques and exceptional craftsmanship that the Tailor Made programme brings to the table. Designed to highlight the brand’s commitment to sustainability, innovation, and artistry, this Roma Spider introduces an array of personalisation options that push the boundaries of automotive luxury.
Craftsmanship and Sustainability in Harmony
At the heart of this creation is Ferrari’s dedication to responsible material sourcing and pioneering manufacturing techniques. The central panel of the seats, for instance, features an intricate combination of hand-stitched leather and thread made from recycled tyres—an elegant nod to sustainability without compromising the luxurious feel that Ferrari is renowned for.
Further advancing the brand’s environmental focus, Ferrari has introduced laser-etched aluminium components on the body, including the shield on the front wing, and the option to personalise the bonnet with a compass rose and the geographical coordinates of Maranello. This approach not only enhances the car’s visual identity but also minimises waste, as aluminium recycled from the Ferrari foundry is repurposed in the twin-turbo V8 engine.

Luxurious Details and Thoughtful Design
Among the Roma Spider’s many bespoke elements are chrome-free nappa leather and ethically sourced wood, both used on the tonneau cover and rear floor, blending eco-conscious materials with timeless elegance. The centre console, another area of design distinction, incorporates components made from recycled sand—sourced from the very casting process used in Ferrari’s foundry.
These thoughtful material choices are not limited to the car alone. In collaboration with Montblanc, Ferrari has also commissioned a special edition of the iconic Meisterstück writing instrument. This luxurious pen, coloured in the bespoke Oro Mida shade—selected by the Ferrari Styling Centre for the Roma Spider—features a hand-crafted Au750 solid gold nib and platinum-coated detailing, echoing the compass rose motif found on the car’s bonnet. The set is complemented by a logbook, crafted from reused leather in Rosso Bologna and Pelle Metalizzata Oro Mida, with the same coordinates of Maranello embossed on the cover, symbolising the connection between the car and the journey.
The ‘One of a Kind’ Exhibition Experience
As part of the immersive experience at the ‘One of a Kind’ exhibition, visitors are invited to explore Ferrari’s Tailor Made programme firsthand. The exhibition not only showcases the Roma Spider but also offers a tactile, interactive wall where guests can engage with a variety of materials, fabrics, and colours. This installation highlights the extensive range of personalisation options available to Ferrari’s discerning clientele.
The Ferrari Roma Spider, with its striking blend of innovation, artistry, and sustainability, serves as a testament to the limitless possibilities within Ferrari’s Tailor Made programme. The exhibition will run at the Enzo Ferrari Museum in Modena until February 2025, offering a rare opportunity for visitors to witness the future of luxury personalisation through the lens of Ferrari’s unparalleled craftsmanship.
This unique creation stands as a bold expression of Ferrari’s forward-thinking vision, where the worlds of art, innovation, and automotive engineering converge to create vehicles that are truly one of a kind.
