Ferrari UK is issuing a final call for aspiring motorsport photographers to enter its inaugural photography competition, now extended to 10th April 2026. The initiative aims to discover and support emerging talent, offering a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience at one of the UK’s most iconic racing venues.
Six selected entrants will join a guided motorsport photography experience at the Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli UK event at Silverstone, running from 22nd to 24th May. The competition highlights Ferrari’s commitment to nurturing creativity and skill within the motorsport community, giving photographers the chance to work under real-world racing conditions with expert guidance.
Participants will receive official media accreditation from Ferrari UK, with mentorship and practical support from experienced motorsport photographers. This structure encourages photographers to refine technical skills and adopt a professional approach, capturing both pit lane and trackside action across the race weekend.
Entrants are asked to submit three images from Friday and Saturday’s sessions. These images will be printed on canvas and displayed publicly in The Wing at Silverstone on Sunday, where a panel of judges will evaluate them to select an overall winner. The victorious photographer will join Ferrari UK’s media team at the Ferrari Finali Mondiali, held at the Circuit de Barcelona Catalunya from 19th to 22nd November 2026, with their work featured on the brand’s official Instagram coverage.
In addition, the winner will receive a year’s complimentary membership to the Guild of Motoring Writers, offering further opportunities for career growth and exposure within the automotive media sector. To ensure the competition maintains the highest standards, Ferrari North Europe has appointed experienced professional photographers to mentor entrants and oversee judging.
To enter, photographers must submit a portfolio of three motorsport images accompanied by a 300-word written statement. The competition is open to professional photographers seeking to advance in the competitive field of motorsport photography, providing a rare platform to combine creativity, skill, and professional development under the banner of one of the world’s most iconic automotive brands.
