London, 26 November 2025 – Ferrari has once again solidified its position at the pinnacle of automotive excellence, scooping two of the most prestigious accolades at the TG Awards 2026 in London last night. The marque’s latest hypercar, the F80, was named Hypercar of the Year, while the 296 Speciale earned the title of Supercar of the Year—bringing Ferrari’s remarkable tally to 21 Top Gear awards in 23 years, including its eighth Supercar of the Year crown.
Limited to just 799 units, the Ferrari F80 represents a new zenith in the brand’s storied history, joining the ranks of icons such as the GTO, F40, and LaFerrari. It combines cutting-edge technology with unrelenting performance to deliver an experience that is both exhilarating and accessible. Jethro Bovingdon, Contributing Editor at Topgear.com, commented: “Ferrari has embraced knowledge from F1 and endurance racing to create a whole that’s raw and energised but exploitable, intuitive and usable. The F80 sounds a bit tame from the outside, but inside it snorts, fizzes, shrieks and roars. So many layers, so much performance.”
Meanwhile, the 296 Speciale continues Ferrari’s proud tradition of special-edition berlinettas. Following in the footsteps of legendary models such as the Challenge Stradale, 430 Scuderia, 458 Speciale, and 488 Pista, the 296 Speciale is designed to deliver unmatched driving engagement and set new benchmarks for the supercar segment. Jason Barlow, Editor at Large at Topgear.com, praised the car’s versatility: “It’s clear that the aim was to create a track-focused Ferrari with greater dynamic bandwidth than ever. It’s civilised enough that you wouldn’t think twice about hammering the 296 Speciale round Silverstone and then driving it home… to Italy. It raises the bar yet again in all the key measurables, and plenty that aren’t algorithmic. A sublime mix of analogue and digital.”
Gianmaria Fulgenzi, Ferrari’s Chief Product Development Officer, collected the awards on behalf of the Maranello team, saying: “It is a privilege to receive these prestigious awards on behalf of my colleagues in Maranello for the latest incarnation of important and iconic model lines which set the new benchmark for performance and driving thrills. These coveted titles honour the achievements of a team of dedicated engineers who constantly strive to achieve the most ambitious technical objectives.”
With the F80 and 296 Speciale, Ferrari once again demonstrates its ability to blend heritage, innovation, and sheer driving excitement—cementing its place at the forefront of the hypercar and supercar worlds.
