London’s Hilton Bankside set the stage on 3 December 2025 for one of the most closely-watched announcements in the light commercial vehicle sector, as the all-electric Farizon SV was named ‘Zero-Emissions Van of the Year’ at the What Van? Awards 2026. The win marks a significant early milestone for the brand, arriving hot on the heels of the model’s strong second-place finish at the 2026 International Van of the Year (IVOTY) Awards.

Independent recognition from industry-leading experts

The What Van? accolade stems from a rigorous evaluation process conducted by an independent panel of specialist judges, representing respected industry organisations, alongside members of the What Van? editorial team. Collectively, they assessed each new electric light commercial vehicle launched this year, measuring contenders against stringent criteria such as efficiency, running costs, driver appeal and overall operational suitability.

According to the judges, the Farizon SV stood out through its blend of forward-thinking engineering and commercial practicality. Its performance, low operating costs and purpose-built electric platform placed it firmly in the spotlight as a compelling zero-emission solution for UK operators.

James Dallas, Editor at What Van?, highlighted the SV’s versatility and industry-first thinking:
“Built on a skateboard platform, the innovatively-designed Farizon SV is both versatile and a practical load lugger. In addition, Farizon should be applauded for making safety a priority in developing the van. The UK is a key market for the brand and the opening of its flagship dealership in London’s Park Royal shows it is ready for business.”

A vote of confidence for Farizon’s UK ambitions

For Farizon Auto UK, the win reinforces the company’s strategic positioning in a market that is rapidly accelerating its shift toward electrified fleets.

Calum James, General Manager – Farizon Auto UK, said:
“Winning What Van?’s ‘Zero-Emissions Van of the Year’ accolade is a tremendous endorsement of the born-electric SV’s considerable strengths. The development goal was to develop a truly world-class electric large van that’s built for business. This recognition from such a respected panel reinforces that we are delivering on that promise for van operators and drivers across the UK.”

Strong momentum following IVOTY success

The What Van? recognition arrives shortly after the SV’s impressive second-place finish at the 2026 International Van of the Year Awards. As the brand’s first model designed specifically for European markets, the result underscores Farizon’s rapid evolution in the global commercial vehicle sector and highlights the SV as a formidable new entry among established competitors.

The award-winning Farizon SV

Starting from £40,000 + VAT, including the Plug-in Van Grant, the Farizon SV model range offers operators a broad choice of battery capacities: 67 kWh, 83 kWh or 106 kWh. Its efficient, all-electric powertrain produces 170 kW (231 PS) and 336 Nm of torque, supporting a WLTP combined range of up to 247 miles. Fast charging capability enables a 20 to 80 percent top-up in as little as 36 minutes, maximising operational uptime for businesses.

Engineered for real-world utility, the SV features several advanced innovations, from drive-by-wire technology and a unique hidden B-pillar design to cell-to-pack battery architecture. Together, these systems enhance durability, packaging efficiency and cabin accessibility.

In practical terms, the van sets a new segment benchmark with a payload of up to 1,350 kg, load volume up to 13 m³, and an ultra-low loading height of 550 mm, enhancing its suitability for a wide range of commercial applications.

High specification, high safety

Farizon offers the SV in a single, comprehensive specification, ensuring operators receive a fully equipped model as standard. Features include:

  • Payload monitoring system
  • Heated seats and heated multifunction steering wheel
  • Heated windscreen
  • 360-degree surround-view camera system
  • Extensive suite of ADAS systems

Safety is central to the SV’s design, further validated by its five-star Euro NCAP rating, placing it among the safest electric vans available in the UK.

A new force in the electric LCV landscape

With its What Van? accolade, IVOTY recognition and a growing UK presence, the Farizon SV is quickly establishing itself as a major new contender in the electric LCV market. Its blend of performance, safety, practicality and advanced engineering signals a strong future for the brand as it expands its footprint across Europe.
