Nissan Electrifies Covent Garden with Formula E Excitement and NISMO Style
London (Friday 12th July 2024) – Nissan is set to electrify London’s iconic Covent Garden once again with its acclaimed ‘Feel Electric Festival,’ running from 10am on Wednesday, 17 July until 8pm on Sunday, 21 July. As the city gears up for the 2024 ABB FIA Formula E World Championship Season 10 finale, this year’s festival promises to be bigger, bolder, and more exciting than ever, offering an array of attractions for the public to enjoy—completely free of charge.
Building on the success of last year’s event, Nissan is transforming Covent Garden’s East Piazza into a dynamic showcase of cutting-edge technology and stylish innovation. The centerpiece of the festival is the Nissan Formula E Team’s ‘Feel Electric Quest’ Lab. Here, visitors can test their driving skills on a suite of race simulators, create their own Manga-style racing avatar, delve into the technology behind Formula E cars, and challenge themselves with an interactive quiz.
The festival will feature two stunning Nissan Formula E race cars on display. One will be showcased within a life-sized, London-themed 3D poster designed by the renowned graphic artist and illustrator, Juan Alcalá (Jalcalara). Additionally, guests can admire custom art and memorabilia from previous E-Prix events, including a crystal cherry blossom helmet and a bespoke kimono from the inaugural Tokyo E-Prix.
Visitors can also create personalized clothing at the pop-up NISMO streetwear store, set amidst traditional Japanese ‘Sakura’ cherry blossom trees. These trees provide a picturesque backdrop for sampling complimentary sushi from the famous Sushi Samba restaurant.
Adding to the festival’s allure are regular prize giveaways, making the Nissan Feel Electric Festival a must-visit event this July. The festival runs daily from 10am to 8pm from 17-21 July, and entry is completely free.
