Honda Motor Southern Africa is thrilled to introduce the Honda RoadSync app, an innovative mobile application designed to elevate the riding experience for motorcyclists. Set to launch in June 2024, this cutting-edge app will be available for download across South Africa, providing seamless connectivity, improved safety, and unmatched convenience for riders.
Tailored for Honda’s latest 2024 models, the Honda XL750 Transalp and Honda CB750 Hornet, the RoadSync app allows riders to effortlessly manage essential smartphone functions without compromising on safety. Compatible with both Android™ and iOS devices, the app can be easily downloaded from respective app stores and paired with motorcycles via Bluetooth®, ensuring an intuitive and user-friendly experience.
The Honda RoadSync app integrates with Honda’s Smartphone Voice Control System, a standard feature on both the XL750 Transalp and CB750 Hornet models. This system empowers riders to control their smartphones hands-free, using a Bluetooth® headset attached to their helmets. The combination of voice commands and handlebar-mounted controls allows for safe and convenient operation of various functions, including:
- Navigation: Utilizing Google Maps, riders can receive voice-guided directions and set destinations using voice commands. Up to five favorite places can be saved for quick access.
- Calls: Riders can store up to five frequently used contacts and make or receive calls with voice commands. Caller names are announced via the system’s narrator.
- Messages: The app supports popular messaging apps like WhatsApp and Facebook Messenger. Riders can send and receive messages using pre-set or personalized quick replies.
- Music: Riders can select their preferred music app (such as Google Play Music, Spotify, or Amazon Music) in the app settings and enjoy their favorite tunes on the go.
- Weather: The app provides local weather updates for the next hour, three hours, or five hours. When navigating, detailed weather predictions for the destination are also available.
