23 February 2023 – Entries for the first ever Broker News Awards, which will recognise excellence in the leasing broker sector, are now open.
The awards, organised by Broker News, the leading website and news information source for leasing brokers, will be announced at a lunchtime event in London on 28 April.
There are 13 awards in total, plus the overall Broker of the Year which will be nominated by the judges.
Announcing the awards, Ralph Morton, editorial director of Broker News, said: “I am delighted to announce that we’re launching the first ever Broker News awards event. We’ve created a range of awards to recognise the very best in the leasing broker industry – from Best Start Up to Best EV broker – while there is also a special Women in Broking Award, which will be presented by the Broker News team.
“The leasing broker sector has had to cope with substantial challenges over the last few years, not least having to deal with long and uncertain lead times, the impact of the agency model and the sentiment downturn caused by the rising cost of living crisis. But typical of this sector, they have shown resilience, entrepreneurship, and consistently excellent customer service to emerge even stronger in the market. These awards are aimed at highlighting and celebrating these achievements.”
The BVRLA-accredited leasing broker sector is a growing and significant sales channel in the automotive sector.
With a combined fleet of 403,7801 cars and vans on contract, the BVRLA leasing broker fleet would top the FN502 table of leasing companies by some margin, with the largest leasing company having a fleet of just 274,107 vehicles in comparison.

- Best Mid-Size Broker (1000-5000 units per year)
- Best Volume Broker (5000+ units per year)
- Best Customer Service
- Best Commercial Vehicle Broker
- Best EV Broker
- Best SME Broker
- Best Innovation in Broking – open to brokers and suppliers
- Rising Star of the Year
- Funder of the Year
- Woman In Broking Award – awarded by the Broker News team
- Editor’s Award – a special award presented by Ralph Morton
- Broker of the Year
