Intercounty Truck & Van, an acclaimed Mercedes-Benz dealership operating throughout the Midlands and Lincolnshire, proudly announces a substantial £2 million investment in a brand-new service and parts facility in Dunstable, Bedfordshire. This development will generate 30 new jobs, significantly benefiting the local economy.
This cutting-edge site boasts a state-of-the-art workshop dedicated to the servicing and maintenance of all van models, over-the-counter parts, and a suite of advanced EV amenities. Notably, the facility includes eight EV charging points, enhancing customer convenience and supporting the local EV infrastructure.
Strategically located at the heart of Dunstable’s Woodside Industrial Estate, one of the largest industrial estates in the South East, the dealership is just minutes from J11/J11a of the M1 and London Luton Airport.
Designed to prioritize customer needs, the new facility offers rapid and efficient service, minimizing downtime for drivers and reducing local disruption. It will also feature three 24-hour service vans, providing round-the-clock roadside assistance and emergency site visits, with plans to introduce full 24-hour servicing soon.
In addition to its impressive facility upgrades, Intercounty Truck & Van is heavily investing in technician training. This includes actively recruiting through an apprentice program and participating in the Mercedes-Benz EV technical training pathway, enabling technicians to repair electric vehicle equipment, including batteries, down to component level—surpassing the general aftermarket training standards.

These initiatives not only provide valuable career opportunities for the local community but also ensure customers receive exceptional service from highly trained professionals.
Nick Skillman, Managing Director at Intercounty Truck & Van, expressed his enthusiasm: “The launch of our new Dunstable site offers incredible opportunities for our business and the local economy, especially as we embrace the shift to electric vehicles.
“We’ve proudly operated as a Mercedes-Benz franchise for over 20 years, serving Northamptonshire, Cambridgeshire, Buckinghamshire, and Lincolnshire. Now, we have a state-of-the-art dealership with tremendous market potential in a prime Bedfordshire location, near the M1 and our customers at Luton Airport, which is set to double its capacity in the next two decades.
“The new dealership is designed to meet the needs of our loyal customers and an engaged local community committed to sustainability. We couldn’t be more excited for its launch.”
Simon Neill, Customer Operations Director at Mercedes-Benz Vans UK, added: “Intercounty Truck & Van has been a trusted partner of Mercedes-Benz Vans for over 20 years, and we are thrilled to support the opening of this new, dynamic Customer Service and Parts location.
“It promises to deliver a wide range of services, parts, electric vehicle expertise, and roadside assistance to ensure the Intercounty team continues to provide reliable and sustainable transport solutions, keeping businesses moving.
“We are also delighted to see Intercounty Truck & Van creating 30 new roles, bringing fresh talent and skills to the Mercedes-Benz Vans brand network.”
