The leasing process for an electric vehicle (EV) can now be carried out online by personal and business customers on the new DriveElectric website.

DriveElectric, one of the UK’s leading electric vehicle leasing companies, has launched its latest initiative to make the leasing process as hassle-free as possible for motorists wanting to switch to an EV.

Customers can select and configure the EV of their dreams online, choosing features such as colour and options, along with the length of the lease.

If an EV is wanted faster than factory-build lead times can deliver, then there’s also the option of quick delivery times for some vehicles.

Although the new website allows personal and business customers to carry out virtually all the process of leasing a new EV online, DriveElectric will continue to provide its renowned levels of customer service to motorists who want to speak to experienced staff, or for leasing solutions for larger fleets.

Compared to petrol and diesel vehicles, electric vehicles still offer a huge benefit in kind tax saving for company car drivers, and even with the current volatility in energy prices, EVs can still offer significantly lower running costs. DriveElectric’s business customers typically report that their electric vans are cheaper on a whole-life cost basis than diesel vans.

DriveElectric offers a wide variety of the latest electric vehicles, ranging from family hatchbacks, executive cars and SUVs to vans that can help businesses save money, as well as reduce emissions that impact on climate change and local air quality.

Mike Potter, Managing Director of DriveElectric, says “Motorists wanting to make the shift to electric vehicles can now do so more easily and enjoy benefits including lower running costs and a better driving experience, as well as zero tailpipe emissions. The ability to lease an EV online is just the latest in a continuing journey of new initiatives here at DriveElectric aimed at improving our service to customers even further.”

DriveElectric is an electric vehicle leasing company that has been helping organisations and individuals to adopt EVs to save money, lower emissions and transition to low carbon energy since 2008. DriveElectric aims to make the switch to electric cars and vans simple for business fleets.
