Kia has once again demonstrated its dominance in the electric vehicle segment, taking home two prestigious titles at the 2025 Great British Fleet Awards, hosted by Fleet World. The Korean automaker’s acclaimed electric SUVs — the all-new Kia EV3 and the flagship Kia EV9 — were crowned ‘Best EV Small SUV’ and ‘Best EV Large SUV’ respectively, reinforcing the brand’s appeal to fleet operators across the UK.

The Kia EV3, which recently earned the coveted titles of 2025 UK Car of the Year and 2025 World Car of the Year, impressed the judging panel with its blend of innovation, practicality, and exceptional electric range. Offering up to 375 miles on a single charge*, the compact EV3 delivers Kia’s longest electric driving range to date, all within a small SUV footprint tailored to urban fleets and eco-conscious business users.

John Challen, Editor of Fleet World, praised the EV3 as “the best of the best in a growing market,” adding, “Kia continues to build on its impressive lineup of ‘EV’ models with this latest one emphatically meeting driver demands for range, spec and quality. The UK Car of the Year 2025 is also one of the best fleet cars of the year.”

Not to be outshone, the Kia EV9 retained its crown as ‘Best EV Large SUV’ for the second consecutive year. The 2024 UK and World Car of the Year remains a benchmark in the segment, offering up to 349 miles of electric range* while accommodating six or seven passengers in luxurious comfort. With its bold design, flexible seating configurations, and commanding presence, the EV9 has become a compelling choice for fleets needing both space and sustainability.

Commenting on the EV9’s continued success, Challen noted: “Last year’s winner of this category easily sees off competition from any newcomers, thanks to excelling with available driving range and quality. Drivers are also rewarded for the choice with plenty of interior space and the ability to seat seven in luxurious surroundings.”

These accolades are a testament to Kia’s unwavering commitment to delivering advanced, fleet-friendly EV solutions. From compact runabouts to full-size people carriers, the brand’s all-electric portfolio is proving its capability and versatility across a range of business applications.

Kia also continues to enhance its fleet offering with services tailored to professional users. The Kia Business Service Promise delivers a suite of advantages designed specifically for fleet and business drivers, while the Business Specialist Dealership network provides comprehensive support across the country.

Looking ahead, Kia is set to expand its influence in the commercial sector through its Platform Beyond Vehicle (PBV) strategy. Anchored by the recently unveiled PV5, Kia’s PBV initiative represents a new chapter in purpose-built electric vehicles, developed to serve the diverse needs of commercial fleets. Accompanying this launch is the rollout of dedicated professional business van centres, ensuring seamless sales and after-sales support nationwide.

As the automotive landscape shifts towards electrification, Kia’s momentum at the Great British Fleet Awards highlights its strategic foresight and commitment to sustainable fleet mobility. With innovation embedded in every model and service, Kia is not just keeping pace — it’s setting the standard.
