Milton Keynes, 25 July 2024 – CUPRA has unveiled the latest versions of its dynamic models, the Formentor and the Leon, now available for order in the UK. These redesigned vehicles are engineered to captivate the next generation of drivers with their striking aesthetics, advanced technology, and enhanced performance options.
Bold New Designs: Exterior Enhancements
The exterior of the new CUPRA Formentor and CUPRA Leon reflects a bold new design philosophy. Both models feature a distinctive shark-nose front end, complemented by an integrated and illuminated CUPRA logo. The Formentor boasts triangular LED headlights, while the Leon incorporates these lights as standard in its VZ3 trim. The rear of both vehicles continues the theme with illuminated logos and coast-to-coast taillights, presenting a cohesive and eye-catching look.
CUPRA is also introducing new paint finishes for the Formentor, including the exclusive Century Bronze Matt and Enceladus Grey Matt, alongside a palette that includes Fiord Blue, Midnight Black, and Graphene Grey. The Leon offers these options plus an additional Taiga Grey premium metallic finish.

Interior Innovations: Digital and Sustainable Upgrades
Inside, the Formentor and Leon have undergone substantial redesigns, focusing on premium materials and digital advancements. The interiors now feature redesigned centre consoles, door panels, dashboards, and new upholstery options, including 73% recycled microfibre and environmentally conscious leather.
A significant upgrade is the 12.9-inch infotainment system that centralizes driver interaction. The new Human Machine Interface (HMI) enhances user experience, supported by an all-new 12-speaker high-fidelity sound system from Sennheiser, available as standard on the Leon VZ3 trim and optional on the Formentor.
Powertrains and Performance: Enhanced Driving Dynamics
The new CUPRA Formentor and CUPRA Leon introduce advanced powertrain options designed to deliver exhilarating performance. The Formentor offers a range of engines starting from a 1.5-litre TSI petrol unit with 150PS and extending to a 333PS TSI engine in the VZ3 trim, equipped with a seven-speed DSG gearbox and track-ready features.
Both models now feature new-generation e-Hybrid technology, providing two options: 204PS and 272PS. These plug-in hybrid systems offer over 70 miles of electric range, catering to diverse driving needs. Additionally, the Leon Estate will see the introduction of a new 2.0-litre 333PS engine later this year, making it the most powerful Leon yet.
