The South African automotive retail sector continues to sharpen its competitive edge, and DigiCars Group has once again placed itself firmly in the spotlight after securing multiple top honours at the prestigious ABSA Golden Partner Awards, hosted this past weekend in Johannesburg.

The Group delivered standout results across its dealership network, reinforcing its growing reputation for consistency, performance, and customer-centric execution. Among the headline achievements, OMODA & JAECOO Sandton was awarded Medium Category Franchise Dealer, while Chery Sandton secured the Large Category Franchise Dealer position. Adding further weight to the Group’s success, Chery Northcliff achieved 2nd Place in the Large Category Franchise Dealer rankings.

These accolades strengthen the Group’s upward trajectory within the South African automotive landscape and build on earlier recognition, including Chery Northcliff being named WesBank Dealer of the Year earlier this year. Together, these milestones highlight a sustained pattern of operational excellence across the Group’s expanding dealership footprint.

DigiCars Group CEO Dawood Olgar attributed the recognition to the strength of the organisation’s people, culture, and disciplined execution across its network.

“To receive this level of recognition from ABSA is incredibly meaningful for our Group. These awards reflect the consistency of our teams, the standards we uphold across our dealerships, and the work being done every day to deliver exceptional experiences to our customers.”

He emphasised that achievements of this scale are the result of strong leadership structures and a long-term commitment to building a high-performance culture across the business.

“We are extremely proud of our teams and management structures across the Group. Awards like these are earned through trust, commitment, consistency, and a culture that continuously pushes for excellence.”

Olgar also highlighted the importance of strong financial partnerships in enabling growth within the automotive sector, pointing to the continued support of ABSA as a key contributor to the Group’s momentum.

“Strategic banking partnerships play a critical role in the automotive industry, and we value the confidence and support that institutions like ABSA continue to place in our dealerships. Recognition like this strengthens our drive to keep raising the bar.”

As DigiCars Group continues to expand its national presence, the latest accolades further cement its position as one of South Africa’s most recognised and fast-evolving automotive retail groups. The achievements reflect not only commercial success, but also a sustained focus on customer experience, operational discipline, and long-term growth strategy.

“Every recognition adds to the credibility and momentum of the Group,” Olgar said. “We are building a modern, high-performance automotive business that is focused on people, service excellence, and long-term growth. This recognition motivates us to continue pushing forward.”
