Bicester Heritage, 24th July 2024 – The Historic and Classic Vehicles Alliance (HCVA) proudly announces the appointment of Dale Keller as its new Chief Executive Officer. Effective October 1st, 2024, Keller will take the helm of HCVA, bringing a wealth of experience and a fervent passion for classic cars to the role.
Keller’s distinguished career spans various sectors within aviation, travel, and tourism. Before joining HCVA, he served as the Chief Executive of the Board of Airline Representatives in the UK (BAR UK) from 2012. During his tenure, Keller represented over 70 airlines, navigating the organization through significant industry changes, including the severe impacts of the Covid-19 pandemic.
His role at BAR UK saw him regularly engage with government ministers, industry leaders, and multiple agencies. Keller’s efforts as part of the Aviation Council and the government’s International Travel Expert Steering Group (ESG) were instrumental in addressing the needs and concerns of the airline industry during the pandemic. His commitment to ensuring that the industry’s voice was heard is a testament to his leadership and dedication.
Born in New Zealand, Keller relocated to the UK in 1990. His career trajectory in the UK saw him gaining extensive experience in airline management and PR Agency management before his pivotal role at BAR UK. His transition from aviation to the classic car industry is fueled by a personal passion, being an enthusiastic owner of a cherished Alvis.
In his new role at HCVA, Keller aims to enhance the Alliance’s strategy and meet the needs of its members. A key focus will be building relationships with the new government and continuing the work initiated by the previous administration’s Call for Evidence. Keller’s deep appreciation for classic cars and their history will drive his efforts to understand and advocate for the extensive membership of HCVA.

Keller himself is eager to embark on this new journey. “Having spent many years guiding leaders in the airline industry and standing up for their vision with government, I am looking forward to doing the same for the classic car industry in the UK,” he says. “I am very enthusiastic about the UK’s incredible historic vehicle legacy, the industry that keeps them going and the thousands of enthusiasts that enjoy them. It is a real honour to be an ambassador for them and furthering their cause to ensure that classic cars continue to be enjoyed on the roads of the UK.”
Keller’s leadership marks a promising new chapter for HCVA, with the classic car community poised to benefit greatly from his expertise and passion.
