Dacia Opens Flagship London West Retailer with UK Debut of All-New Dacia Spring
Dacia has officially inaugurated its new flagship retailer, Dacia London West, in a grand opening ceremony that also marked the UK public debut of the All-New Dacia Spring, the nation’s most affordable new electric car.
Founded in Romania in the 1960s, Dacia celebrated this milestone event with prominent attendees including Laura Popescu, the Ambassador of Romania to the United Kingdom, the newly-elected Mayor of Hounslow, Karen Smith, and Tony Louki, Councillor for Osterley and Spring Grove Ward.
The purpose-built facility, spanning nearly one acre, is strategically located on the A4 near Brentford. Designed with sustainability in mind, the innovative building harnesses solar energy and utilizes recycled materials for its fittings and fixtures.
Dacia London West features a state-of-the-art 10-ramp workshop, an MOT testing lane, eight EV charging points, and an undercover area capable of displaying up to 80 Approved Used vehicles. The showroom includes space for every Dacia model, with eco-friendly touches like sofa coverings made from plastic bottles, rugs woven from nylon waste and old carpets, and display stands constructed from recycled tyres. The facility is partly powered by 28 solar panels installed on the 3,078 square meter building’s roof.
The opening event was a grand affair with a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by senior Dacia representatives, local community members, and various dignitaries. Guests were treated to an exclusive tour of the facility, which was completed in just 10 months on a redeveloped plot.
