Dacia has strengthened its line-up with a major upgrade to the Duster range, introducing more powerful and efficient hybrid options while upholding its renowned best-value-for-money philosophy.
Leading the updates is the arrival of the new Hybrid 155, replacing the outgoing Hybrid 140. First seen on the Bigster, this advanced system brings together a 109 bhp 4-cylinder petrol engine, two electric motors (50 hp drive motor plus a high-voltage starter-generator), and a compact 1.4 kWh battery operating at 230V. Power is delivered through an innovative automatic electric gearbox, featuring four gears for the combustion engine and two for the electric motors, eliminating the need for a traditional clutch.
Thanks to its regenerative braking capability and efficient transmission, the Duster Hybrid 155 maximises all-electric running in urban environments. Notably, the car always starts in electric mode, further improving efficiency. Combined fuel consumption stands at just 4.6 l/100 km, an 8% improvement over its predecessor, with CO₂ emissions reduced to 105 g/km.

Complementing the flagship hybrid is the new Mild Hybrid 140, which replaces the Mild Hybrid 130. At its core is a next-generation 1.2-litre 3-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine operating on the Miller cycle, paired with a 48V mild hybrid system and a 6-speed manual gearbox. The electric assistance provides added torque during start-up and acceleration, reducing consumption and improving driving comfort. With 5.4 l/100 km fuel efficiency and CO₂ emissions of 122 g/km, the Mild Hybrid 140 achieves around a 10% reduction compared with an equivalent ICE model.
Beyond the powertrain updates, Dacia has also refined the Duster’s appeal with fresh design touches. The Journey trim now features exclusive upholstery and coordinated interior detailing, while the Extreme version gains distinctive 18-inch black alloy wheels. Both trims, when specified with the hybrid systems, now come equipped with adaptive cruise control as standard.
With these enhancements, Dacia continues to balance performance, efficiency, and value in one of its most popular models. Full pricing and order books for the updated Duster range will open in November 2025.
