The Dacia Duster has clinched the title of Britain’s best car in the UK’s most extensive new car satisfaction survey.
In the 2024 Auto Express Driver Power survey, the Duster secured the top position, outperforming the Tesla Model 3 and two Toyota models – the Yaris and RAV4. The Mini hatchback rounded out the top five.
This survey offers an in-depth look into what car owners genuinely think about their new vehicles, providing valuable insights for potential buyers and feedback for car manufacturers.
Driver Power sets comprehensive questions across ten detailed categories for owners who have bought their cars new within the past three years.
The Dacia Duster received high marks for its value for money, user-friendly interior controls, and touchscreen. Additionally, it scored well in boot space and cabin storage, indicating that owners are very satisfied with their Dusters.
Tesla’s Model 3 took the top spot in three categories – Powertrain, Economy & Running Costs, and Safety, finishing as the overall runner-up. The Skoda Kodiaq also won three categories – Interior & Comfort, Practicality & Space, and Reliability & Build Quality. However, its lower scores for powertrain and running costs prevented it from making the overall top 10.
“Once again, the Driver Power survey highlights what these cars are like to live with, as described by the owners themselves,” said Auto Express Editor Paul Barker. “We have always been fans of the Dacia Duster, and these results show that owners share our enthusiasm. Driver Power continues to illuminate where consumers can find peak motoring satisfaction.”
The complete results of the 2024 Driver Power survey are available in the latest issue of Auto Express, released on Wednesday, June 12, or at Auto Express.
